The story of the film revolved around two clashing communities and two lovers caught in the vortex of their rivalry. The film was released during Diwali in 1999 and fared poorly at the box office.

Saadhuriyan is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language romantic action film written and directed by T. J. Kumar. It features Manoj, Kunal and Nandana. The score and soundtrack for the film was by Deva.
