Naptha is an unincorporated community located in Brunswick County, in the U.S. state of Virginia.

It has also been called Crossroads, Va.

The Abernathy family were one of the 5 families that founded Brunswick county.

in the early 1920's Robert Abernathy built a country store at the intersection of Poor House and Liberty roads across from the Crossroads School.

The store closed in the late 80s. The old school (now a storage barn) was destroyed by fire in the 1990's.

Brunswick County is a United States county located on the southern border of the Commonwealth of Virginia. This rural county is known as one of the claimants to be the namesake of Brunswick stew. Brunswick County was created in 1720 from parts of Prince George, Surry and Isle of Wight counties. The county was named for the former Duchy of Brunswick-Lunenburg, which was a British possession in the 18th century. As of the 2010 census, the county population was 17,434, which represents a decrease of more than five percent from the 18,419 reported in the 2000 census. According to U.S. News, Brunswick High School's student body makeup is 51 percent male and 49 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 80 percent. Brunswick High is the only high school in the Brunswick Co Public Schools.

Turkeycock Mountain is a mountain summit located in Franklin County, Virginia and Henry County, Virginia. Rising out of the eastern foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Turkeycock Mountain rises to 1,657 feet (505 m) above sea level and is located at 36°49′45″N79°41′13″W. A portion of the mountain is protected as the Turkeycock Wildlife Management Area, which is open to the public.
