Nathan Zsombor-Murray (born April 28, 2003) is a Canadian diver in the platform (10 metre) events. [1] He represented Canada at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics.

Career

At the age of 14, Zsombor-Murray made his World Championships debut in 2017, where he finished in fifth place in the mixed 10 m synchro event with Meaghan Benfeito. [2] At the 2019 edition of the event, along with his partner Vincent Riendeau finished in 11th place in the men's 10 m synchro event. [3] Under a month later, the pair won silver in the same event at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. [4] In the individual event, Zsombor-Murray finished in sixth.

2021

At the 2021 FINA Diving World Cup, Zsombor-Murray and Riendeau won bronze in the 10 m synchro event, claiming Canada an Olympic berth. [5] In June 2021, Zsombor-Murray was officially named to represent Canada at the 2020 Summer Olympics. [6]

In July 2021, Zsombor-Murray won the individual 10 m platform competition at the Canadian trials with two perfect dives. This qualified him to also compete in the individual event in Tokyo. [7] [8]

At the Olympics he finished fifth in the synchronized 10 metre platform event with partner Riendeau but he narrowly missed the final of the 10 metre platform competition, finishing in 13th. [9]

2022

At the 2022 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, Zsombor-Murray won the bronze medal in the synchronized 10 m platform event with partner Rylan Wiens. [10] He competed at the 2022 Commonwealth Games where he won a silver medal in the men's synchronised 10 metre platform event alongside Rylan Wiens [11] and came 4th in the men's 10 metre platform event. [12] Wiens and Zsombor-Murray won the bronze medal in the men's synchronised 10 metre platform at the 2024 Olympics. [9]

Roseline Filion is a retired Canadian diver. She used to compete in the 10 m synchronized event with Meaghan Benfeito. Filion has twice won an Olympic bronze medal in the 10 m platform synchro event: at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She has also won a bronze at the World Aquatics Championships and Commonwealth Games. She retired in January 2017.

Vincent Riendeau is a Canadian elite diver. He won a silver medal at the 2015 FINA World Championships in the 10 m mixed synchro event and a silver medal at the 2015 Pan American Games in the 10 m synchro event. He competed at several World Cups and Grand Prix events.

Matthew Lee is a British diver and Olympic gold medallist. Adept in both individual and synchronised diving, and across both 3-metre springboard and platform, Lee won the gold medal in 10-metre platform at the 2015 European Games, the mixed 10-metre synchronised platform at the 2017 European Diving Championships and has twice been European junior champion on the 3-metre springboard. At world level, Lee won the silver medal in the mixed 10-metre synchronised platform event at the 2017 World Championships, and at the 2019 World Championships, Lee and Tom Daley won bronze in the 10 m synchro event, as well as gold in July 2021 at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Lois Mae Toulson is a British diver. A specialist in the 10 metre platform, she won the gold medal at the inaugural European Games in 2015, and the senior European title in 2017. She competed in the women's synchronized ten metre platform event at the 2016 Summer Olympics with Tonia Couch and she won bronze at the 2024 Summer Olympics in same category with Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix. She won silver in mixed 10m platform synchro at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships with Matty Lee, and gold in the women's synchronized 10 metre platform at the 2018 European Aquatics Championships with Eden Cheng.

Rousseau claimed gold in the men's 10m platform World Championships event in Fukuoka 2023, creating history for the Australian diving team by becoming the first Australian men's 10m platform world champion.

Margo Claire Erlam is a Canadian diver in the springboard events. Erlam is currently based out of and trains at the Saskatoon Diving Club.
