The National Lacrosse League Sportsmanship Award is given annually to a National Lacrosse League (NLL) player. It "honors the combination of character and performance" [1] shown by a player.

The Toronto Rock are a professional box lacrosse franchise based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They are members of the Eastern Conference of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The team was the first Canadian franchise in the NLL. Oakville resident Jamie Dawick is the current owner of the Rock, purchasing the team after the 2009 season. Since 2014, Dawick has also served as their general manager. The Rock play their home games at FirstOntario Centre which they currently share with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the OHL.

While with the Roughnecks, Kelusky was named captain and led them to titles in 2004 and 2009.

Dan Dawson is a Canadian professional lacrosse player for the Toronto Rock of the National Lacrosse League, Brampton Excelsiors (MSL) of Major Series Lacrosse, and is currently a free agent in Major League Lacrosse. Dawson ranks 2nd on the all-time NLL points list through of the 2022 season. He is a 7 time NLL All Pro selection. As a professional, he is a 7 time Mann Cup Canadian box lacrosse champion, and a 1 time Major League Lacrosse (field) champion (2009 Toronto Nationals. Representing Canada, Dawson has won two World Indoor Lacrosse Championship titles and was a finalist in the 2010 World Lacrosse Championship. Dawson has won two Champion's Cups as a member of the Rochester Knighthawks in 2013 and 2014.

The National Lacrosse League Most Valuable Player Award is given annually to the NLL player who is considered to have contributed most to his team's success. The award winners are chosen by a vote of the league's coaches, general managers, and executives.

The National Lacrosse League Rookie of the Year Award is given annually to the top rookie in the National Lacrosse League. The award winners are chosen by a vote of the leagues coaches, general managers, and executives.

The 2022 National Lacrosse League season, formally known as the 2021–2022 season, was the 35th in the history of the NLL. This was the inaugural season for the expansion team Panther City Lacrosse Club, and the Albany FireWolves who relocated from New England. The NLL returned after missing a season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
