The 2025 NLL season is the 38th season of play of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The season begins on November 29, 2024, and ends in spring of 2025.

Team movement

On February 21, 2024, the NLL announced that the New York Riptide would relocate to Ottawa, and be renamed the Ottawa Black Bears for competition in the 2025 season. [4]

On August 30, 2024, the NLL announced that the Panther City Lacrosse Club would cease operations. The league held a dispersal draft on September 2. [5] [6]

On April 12, 2024, the Las Vegas Desert Dogs announced their moving their home arena from Michelob Ultra Arena to Lee's Family Forum. [7]

The Bandits played in the Major Indoor Lacrosse League from 1992 to 1997, then in its successor the NLL since 1998. Among teams in the NLL the Bandits are the second oldest team in the league behind the Albany FireWolves, the oldest franchise that was not relocated, and one of most successful teams in the league sharing the record for most league titles at 6 with the Toronto Rock and the original Philadelphia Wings franchise.

The Michelob Ultra Arena, formerly the Mandalay Bay Events Center, is a 12,000-seat multi-purpose indoor arena at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International, and was opened on April 10, 1999. MGM and brewing company Anheuser-Busch entered a naming-rights agreement in 2021, naming the arena after the company's Michelob Ultra beer.

Shawn Williams is the inaugural General Manager and Head Coach of the Las Vegas Desert Dogs in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). He is a former Canadian lacrosse player who played for the Ontario Raiders, Toronto Rock, Buffalo Bandits, Rochester Knighthawks and Edmonton Rush of the NLL and the Hamilton Nationals of Major League Lacrosse. He was also previously a scout for the Buffalo Bandits and assistant coach with the Colorado Mammoth. He was inducted to the NLL Hall of Fame in 2021 as a first ballot nominee.

The National Lacrosse League expansion draft is a meeting where the general managers of expansion National Lacrosse League teams begin to fill their teams with unprotected players from the rosters of existing NLL teams. The National Lacrosse League dispersal draft is a meeting where the general managers of National Lacrosse League teams choose players from teams that are ceasing operations. The NLL has seen many team changes over the years, so dispersal drafts have been commonplace. Recent dispersal drafts have occurred in 2024, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2005, 2004, 2003, and 2002.

The 2010 National Lacrosse League season, the 24th in the history of the NLL, began on January 8, 2010, and ended with the Championship game on May 15.

Jeff Cornwall is a Canadian professional lacrosse player for the Vancouver Stealth in the National Lacrosse League. Cornwall was drafted in the second round of the 2011 NLL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Bandits. His brother Travis plays for the Panther City Lacrosse Club.

The Las Vegas Desert Dogs are a lacrosse team based in Las Vegas, Nevada playing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The 2023 season was the inaugural season for the franchise and played their home games in the Michelob Ultra Arena. They are owned by Brooklyn Nets owner Joe Tsai, former NHL player Wayne Gretzky, former NBA player Steve Nash and pro golfer Dustin Johnson. All games were televised on MyLVTV and streamed on ESPN+.

The 2024 NLL season was the 37th season of play of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The season began on December 1, 2023, and ended on May 18, 2024, with the Buffalo Bandits sweeping the Albany FireWolves 2–0 in the NLL Finals series to claim their sixth league title.
