Ndidikama Okoh (born 3 December 2002) is a British para-athlete who specializes in sprint events. She won a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris.
Okoh was born on 3 December 2002. She attended the University of Birmingham, where she obtained a degree in criminology and law. [1] [2]
At the 2024 Summer Paralympics, Okoh competed in the women's 100 m T63, which took place on 7 September 2024. At Heat 1, she finished in third place, behind Monica Contrafatto and Ambra Sabatini, with all three advancing to the final. [3] In the final, Okoh finished 3rd and was one of two women awarded bronze medals were after an appeal by Monica Contrafatto when her fellow Italian competitor Ambra Sabatini fell outside of her lane just before the finish line and tripped Contrafatto during the fall. [4] Contrafatto's time was recorded while she was falling forward at the finish line because of the trip. Okoh crossed the finish line just before Contrafatto, resulting in a minor time difference between the two bronze medalists. [5]
Okoh suffers from lymphedema, which means she has a leg twice the size as the other. [2]
India first participated in the 1968 Summer Paralympics. The nation has appeared in every edition of the Summer Paralympics since 1984. The Paris 2024 Games marked India's 13th appearance at the Paralympics. The country has never participated in the Winter Paralympic Games.
Rosemary Little is an Australian Paralympic athlete. She won a bronze medal in wheelchair racing at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, and has also competed in handcycling. She competed at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, her third Games, where switched from wheelchair racing to shot put. She has been selected to compete in the shot put at the selected for the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
Katerine Savard is a Canadian competitive swimmer who specializes in women's butterfly events and freestyle relay. She holds several Canadian national records in the butterfly over the 50-, 100-, and 200-metre distances in both the short and long courses. Savard also holds the Canadian junior butterfly record in the 200-metre event. She won the gold medal at the 100-metre butterfly event at the 2013 Summer Universiade, held in Kazan. Savard also won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the 100-metre butterfly in Glasgow, where she set the Commonwealth record in the process. At the same games, she won a bronze medal as a member of the women's 4×100-metre medley relay team.
Olivia Breen is a Welsh Paralympian athlete, who competes for Wales and Great Britain mainly in T38 sprint and F38 long jump events. She qualified for the 2012 Summer Paralympics and was selected for the T38 100m and 200m sprint and was also part of the T35-38 women's relay team. She has also represented Wales at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games winning gold in the F38 Long Jump in 2018 and gold in the T37/38 100m in 2022.
Martina Caironi is an Italian Paralympic athlete. She competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics and 2016 Summer Paralympics. She won a gold medal in the 100 m sprint in 2012 and a silver in the long jump in 2016. She qualified for the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
