The Bharat Rashtra Samithi,formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi,is an Indian political party which is predominantly active in the state of Telangana and currently the primary opposition party in the state. It was founded on 27 April 2001 by K. Chandrashekar Rao,with a single-point agenda of creating a separate Telangana state with Hyderabad as its capital. It has been instrumental in carrying forth a sustained agitation for the granting of statehood to Telangana.

Alka Lamba is an Indian politician serving for the President of All India Mahila Congress. After serving the Indian National Congress in various capacities for more than 20 years,she quit to join the Aam Aadmi Party on 26 December 2014. In February 2015,Lamba was elected to the Delhi Legislative Assembly from Chandni Chowk. She quit AAP in September 2019 citing disrespect for her within the party. On 6 September 2019,she formally returned to the Congress party. She was however disqualified from the Delhi assembly by Delhi speaker for violating the rules for party change over a gesture of strong warning to tainted turncoats.

She represents Mulug assembly constituency in the Telangana legislative assembly. She won the 2009 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election and Telangana Legislative Assembly elections in 2018 and 2023. She was appointed general secretary of All India Mahila Congress in June 2018 and in August 2019 became state in-charge of Chhattisgarh Mahila Congress. She is sometimes referred to as 'Iron Lady of Telangana'.
Sardar Ravinder Singh is an Indian politician. He served as the mayor of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation from July 2014 to 2019. Ravinder Singh quit TRS party and is contested MLC elections as an Independent candidate from Karimnagar Local Authorities Constituency.
Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud is an Indian politician from Telangana. He was elected unanimously as member of the Telangana Legislative Council under the MLA quota on 22 January 2024. He is also the Working President of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee since 28 June 2021.
