Netaji is a 2019 Indian cinema made in Irula language directed by Vijeesh Mani for producer Johny Kuruvila. The film stars Gokulam Gopalan in his first title role along with Master Alok and others. Netaji is officially India's first Irula language film, [7] and the film won Guinness award for the first tribal language film. [8] [9] [10] The film was also selected in the Indian Panorama section of IFFI Goa, 2019 [11] [12] [13] as well as Bengaluru International Film Festival 2020. [14]
Netaji is the story of Virat (Master Alok) and his Grandfather Netaji Gopalakrishnan, who was with Subhas Chandra Bose's Indian National Army. Virat, a city based kid comes to stay with his grandfather, now staying with Irula tribe.
The music was composed by Jubair Muhammed and the lyrics were written by Dr. Prashanth Krishna.

Hariharan is an Indian film director who has directed over 50 Malayalam films. His movies mainly revolve around the cultural and relational aspects of a typical Keralite society. His most notable works include Sharapancharam (1979), Panchagni (1986), Idavazhiyile Poocha Mindappoocha (1979), Amrutham Gamaya (1987), Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha (1989), Sargam (1992), Parinayam (1994) and Pazhassi Raja (2009) which has won him wide critical acclaim. In 2019, he was awarded the J. C. Daniel Award, Kerala government's highest honour for contributions to Malayalam cinema.
Sukumari Amma was an Indian actress best known for her works in Malayalam and Tamil films. In a career spanning more than five decades, She has appeared in more than 2500 films predominantly in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, along with few Hindi and one each in Sinhala, French, Bengali, Tulu, English and Kannada films. Sukumari began acting at the age of 10. In 2003, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for her contributions toward the arts. She won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the Tamil film Namma Gramam (2010). Sukumari died on 26 March 2013 in Chennai, following a heart attack.

Rao Sahib Ayyathan Gopalan, popularly known as Darsarji and Darsar Sahib, was an Indian doctor, surgeon, professor, writer, philanthropist, social reformer, and Renaissance leader from Kerala.
