New Asian Cinema is the first of three one-sided 12" records by the Mountain Goats on Olympia, WA's Yo Yo label. The B-side of the record includes etchings by Nikki McClure. It was produced by Pat Maley and Brooks Martin.

A yo-yo is a toy consisting of an axle connected to two disks, and a string looped around the axle, similar to a spool. It is played by holding the free end of the string known as the handle, allowing gravity to spin the yo-yo and unwind the string. The player then allows the yo-yo to wind itself back to the player's hand, exploiting its spin. This is often called "yo-yoing".

Lace knitting is a style of knitting characterized by stable "holes" in the fabric arranged with consideration of aesthetic value. Dilin Nair, better known by his stage name Raftaar, is an Indian rapper, lyricist, dancer and music composer. Raftaar started his career as a rapper. He began his career in 2008 with Lil Golu and Young Amli, recording songs and uploading them on social sites. He then started working with Yo Yo Honey Singh as a part of group Mafia Mundeer. Raftaar then split from the group. He was supported by his friend Ankit Khanna, who introduced him to the Punjabi music band RDB, who then signed him onto their label, Three Records. Soon after the split between the RDB members, Raftaar joined Manjeet Ral. He also started his solo career. He won the "Best Urban Single" award for "Swag Mera Desi" with Manj Musik at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards. In 2019, he started judging the reality show MTV Hustle, Dance India Dance and Roadies.
