New Valley High School is a small SCUSD alternative school outside of the Santa Clara Unified School District office near Lawrence Expressway in Santa Clara. The school was previously located Wilson Alternative Education School, until it was recently relocated in 2001 due to overcrowding. The majority of the students enrolled at New Valley are either behind in earning the 230 required graduation credits, or have been expelled from either Wilcox High School or Santa Clara High School.

New Valley High School was established in 1968 near the Lawrence District office building in small "portable" building due to the small student body.

Mission College is a public community college in Santa Clara, California. It is part of the West Valley–Mission Community College District. The land the college is on was bought between 1966 and 1967. Mission College opened for its first year in 1975. In 1979 it had grown to "3,500 students, 8 administrators, and 73 instructors".

Boynton High School is a secondary school located in San Jose, California and is a continuation school for the Campbell Union High School District. Between 1990 and 2002 when Boynton High School continuation students attended what was then Blackford High School. Blackford had been a traditional high school before 1991 when it was closed. After a minor disagreement amongst board members of the Campbell Union High School District, they agreed to rename the continuation high school to Boynton High School, and established a new building on the same lot as Blackford. The resources of the Blackford High School campus were being shared, and needed to be renovated in order to lease the campus to another school.
