Located in the southern Bay Area, the city was founded by the Spanish in 1777 with the establishment of Mission Santa Clara de Asís under the leadership of Junípero Serra.

Uvas Canyon County Park is a 1,147-acre (464 ha) natural park located in upper Uvas Canyon on the eastern side of the Santa Cruz Mountains, west of Morgan Hill, California. The park has several small waterfalls, some of which flow perennially, that feed into tributaries confluent with Uvas Creek. The park is part of the Santa Clara County Parks System, and facilitates picnics, hiking and overnight camping. It is one of the few parks in the area that allows dogs in the campgrounds.

Summit is a small unincorporated community more frequently referred to by locals as the Loma Prieta Community located partially in Santa Clara County but predominantly in Santa Cruz County, California, in the mountain ranges of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Hellyer County Park is one of 28 Santa Clara County Parks. The park is located just off of Highway 101 in San Jose, California, United States. The 178-acre (72 ha) park is home to Hellyer Park Velodrome and Cottonwood Lake. Other recreational opportunities at the park include picnicking, hiking, fishing, biking, and a playground. Coyote Creek Parkway is a multi-use trail that is paved for 15 miles (24 km) south to Anderson Lake County Park. Coyote Creek Parkway is a jurisdiction of the Santa Clara County Parks. Coyote Creek Trail continues to the north along Coyote Creek under the jurisdiction of San Jose city parks.

Campbell Union Grammar School, now known as the Heritage Village Offices, is a historic building located in Campbell, California. The school was one of the many grammar schools that opened in Campbell and nearby cities in the 1900s. The building was completed in 1922 by prominent Bay Area architect, William H. Weeks. Agnew station is a former railway station in Santa Clara County, California, in what is now the city of Santa Clara. The station was built in 1877 and originally served the narrow-gauge South Pacific Coast Railroad. Landowner Abram Agnew donated 4 acres (1.6 ha) to the railroad to build a station and laid out the settlement that would become known as Agnew's Village. The line and station came under the ownership of Southern Pacific Railroad in 1887. The station building was purchased by the California Central Model Railroad Club in 1963 after passenger and freight services ceased — the rail line remains active. The building was made a City of Santa Clara Historic Landmark in 1988.
