Wilson High School is an alternative public high school in Santa Clara, California, United States. [1] [3] [4] It is one of five high schools in the Santa Clara Unified School District (SCUSD) and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). [4] [6]

Contents

History

Wilson was built in 1951 [2] and opened in 1955 as an intermediate school. [7] In 1982, it reopened as an alternative school with several renovations, including a new administration building. [2] The school is named for William A. Wilson Sr., a local bakery owner and longtime Santa Clara High School board president. [7] [8] [9]
