Club colours are red and white. The current manager is Kingsley Burrows. They have a large youth set-up which was founded for the 2005–06 season.

Wakehurst Football Club are a Northern Irish football who, as of 2017, do not compete in any division. The club, founded in 1969, hails from Ballymena, although home matches are played at Moyola Park's ground at Mill Meadow. Wakehurst formerly played at the second pitch at the Ballymena Showgrounds, home of Ballymena United, but for 2009–10 this pitch was deemed not to meet the criteria for the Championship, and home games were played at the ground of Tobermore United in Tobermore, County Londonderry, for that season; Wakehurst moved to Castledawson for 2010–11. It is the club's intention eventually to return to Ballymena. In 2016, the club was relegated from the Northern Ireland Football League and spent a season in the Ballymena & Provincial Football League before announcing their withdrawal from the competition.

Carniny Amateur & Youth FC is a junior-level football club from Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The club was developed initially as a youth level club and was founded in 2000. A senior side was introduced in 2009, playing junior-level football in the junior divisions of the Ballymena & Provincial League before gaining Intermediate status in 2011, retaining their membership until 2014. During this time it competed in the Irish Cup. The club then dropped down to junior status in order to gain entry into the Northern Amateur Football League where they played in Division 2C. After a single season at this level they moved again, joining the Ballymena Saturday Morning League, gaining two successive promotions where they now play in Div 1. The club also has a second senior team playing in the Ballymena & Provincial League, Junior Div 3

The 2014–15 Northern Ireland Football League Cup was the 29th edition of Northern Ireland's secondary football knock-out cup competition, and the second season of the competition under the control of the Northern Ireland Football League. It was contested by the 12 members of the NIFL Premiership and the 29 members of the NIFL Championship. The competition began on 12 August 2014 with the first round, and concluded on 24 January 2015 with the final.

Rathcoole Football Club are a junior-level football club playing in the third division of the Ballymena & Provincial League in Northern Ireland. The club was founded in 2012. The club is based in Rathcoole, Newtownabbey, County Antrim, playing their home games at the Diamond, a two pitch facility that they share with Rathfern Rangers. They gained intermediate status in 2013 and competed in the Irish Cup for the first time in 2015–16, reaching the second round. However the club returned to the junior ranks for the 2016-17 season by dropping down a division. Rathcoole then folded in July 2017 and rebuilt the team and registered themselves again for the 2017-2018 season.

Sofia Farmer Football Club is an intermediate-level football club playing in the Premier division of the Ballymena & Provincial League in Northern Ireland. The club originally played at the Mid-Ulster Sports Arena, Cookstown, County Tyrone, before moving in 2016 to share Allen Park, Antrim, with Chimney Corner. The club plays in the Irish Cup.

The 2018–19 Northern Ireland Football League Cup was the 33rd edition of Northern Ireland's football knock-out cup competition for national league clubs, and the fifth edition of the competition as the Northern Ireland Football League Cup. This season's League Cup was contested by all 36 clubs of the three divisions of the Northern Ireland Football League. The competition began on 4 August 2018 with the first round, and concluded on 16 February 2019 with the final. The competition was sponsored by McLean Bookmakers.
