"Next Plane Home" is the sixth single by the Canadian Grammy Award-nominated recording artist, singer-songwriter and pianist, Daniel Powter. It is the first single from his third studio album, Under the Radar. It is first released on August 20, 2008, in Japan.

Music video

The music video for the song is directed by Markku Lahdesmaki on July 18, 2008. It is shot on a runway in a desert, Lancaster, California, which is located approximately 70 miles, 112.5 km, north, by road travel, of the city of Los Angeles in Southern California's Antelope Valley. The singer, Daniel Powter, is wearing a grey suit while playing the piano when some biplanes are flying around, waiting for his daughter to arrive.

Daniel Powter is the self-titled second studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Powter, released on July 26, 2005, in Canada and on April 11, 2006, in the United States. The album debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 with 89,213 copies sold that week. As of July 12, 2006, Daniel Powter has sold 464,136 copies in the U.S. The album debuted on the Japanese Oricon charts at an extremely low No. 242. However, the album slowly climbed the charts and peaked at No. 4. The album eventually became the No. 18 album of 2006 in Japan with 583,611 copies sold and the highest Western artist on the yearly charts. The album was certified Gold in the U.S. on May 24, 2006.

"Bad Day" is a pop song from Canadian singer Daniel Powter's self-titled second studio album (2005). It was written by Powter and produced by Jeff Dawson and Mitchell Froom. Powter and Dawson recorded the song in 2002, but were initially unable to find a record label to release it. The song was first used in a French Coca-Cola television advertisement in Christmas 2004 before its official release. Tom Whalley, Warner Bros. Records' chairman and CEO, offered Powter a contract after hearing a demo tape of it. This track ended up being released as the aforementioned album's lead single in Europe in early 2005.

Ahmad Balshe, known professionally as Belly, is a Palestinian-Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born in Jenin in the Palestinian West Bank, and raised in Ottawa, Balshe embarked on a career as a musician when he was sixteen years old by playing drums in various Ottawa punk bands. At twenty-one years old, he moved on to his main love hip-hop with the release of his debut mixtape, Death Before Dishonor: Vol. 1. "Free Loop " is a pop song written by Canadian singer Daniel Powter. It was his second single and the follow-up to his successful song, "Bad Day". It did not achieve the success of its predecessor. In the United Kingdom, WEA failed to realize the single was deemed ineligible to chart since "Bad Day" was included as B-side whilst still being in the UK top 40 at the time. In the US, it did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100, but it did reach the top 30 of the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. The song was featured in Cheetah Mobile's 2016 iOS/Android app Piano Tiles 2. It was also used in a 2007 advertisement showcasing the Ford I-Max in Taiwan.

"Love You Lately" is the fifth single from Daniel Powter's eponymous second studio album, Daniel Powter. It is also the only additional track to appear on the CD of the 2006 deluxe edition/re-release which also included a DVD with all of the music videos accompanying the preceding four singles, a selection of live versions of songs on the album filmed in concert at 'Studio A' and a selection of B Sides. The deluxe edition, 'Love You Lately' and Powter's compilation album 'B Sides' all share the same sleeve artwork. Brandon Paris Band was a Canadian rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia; started by Brandon Paris in 2002. The band performed a fusion of pop, rock, reggae, punk, and soul. Under the Radar is the third studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Powter and follows his 2005 self-titled second album. The album was released in September 2008 in Europe and was later released in North America in 2009. The song "Next Plane Home" was released as the first single of the album. It was followed by "Best of Me" and then "Whole World Around". This album also contains a new remix of "Love You Lately" which has a cleaner sound, extra keyboard/synthesizer effects, and some extra backing vocals as well as a re-recording of the song "Negative Fashion" which originally appeared on Powter's debut album "I'm Your Betty". In the UK, the album has debuted at number 43 and included an exclusive bonus track in the form of a live rendition of Bad Day in Vienna.

Turn On the Lights is the fourth studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Powter. The album was released in the United Kingdom on 13 July 2012. The album only entered the UK Albums Chart at number 109. It includes the singles "Cupid" and "Crazy All My Life". It features re-recordings of the three new songs from Powter's greatest hits album "Best of Me". They were "Come Back Home", "The Day We Never Met" and a re-recording of the new version of "Best of Me", consisting of a brand new backing arrangement and a slightly different tune. On September 5, 2013, Powter later released 4 new songs as bonus tracks for his album Turn on the Lights called Ur My Radio, Doesn't Matter, Cheers To Us and Goodbye.
