Nezar Kadhem is an entrepreneur, best known as the co-founder and CEO of Eat App, a technology company specializing in cloud-based management platforms for the hospitality industry. He was a member of the lower house of the Bahrain Parliament (Council of Representatives).
Nezar Kadhem moved to San Francisco at age 17 to pursue higher education. From 2006 to 2010, he completed Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, focusing on International Business, at San Francisco State University's Lam Family College of Business. [1]
From 2010 to 2011, he earned a Master of Science in Global Entrepreneurship at Babson College's F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. [2] During this time, he also studied at Emlyon Business School and Zhejiang University in Hangzhou. [3]
In 2011, Nezar Kadhem moved to Paris and co-founded his first company, which specialized in reservation systems for event organizers. This startup was acquired two years later by a French events and nightlife company. [4] [5] [6]
In 2014, Kadhem relocated to Bahrain and co-founded Eat App. The company, which launched in 2015 with Co-Founder, David Feuillard, specializes in cloud-based management platforms for restaurants and hotels. Eat App has raised USD 13 million to date from prominent investors, [12] including 500 Startups and MEVP, and currently operates in 79 countries, serving over 2,300 restaurants. [13] The company was recognized by Forbes as one of the Middle East's 50 Most-Funded Startups. [14] [15]
Nezar Kadhem is known for his nomadic lifestyle and as a DJ who combines his experiences from both the tech and music industries. [16] [17] In addition to his role at Eat App, Kadhem is a co-founder at Soundscapes, a leading boutique music and arts festival in Zanzibar. [18]
