Nicholas Frankl OLY [1] (born 26 July 1971) is a London-born, Monaco-based serial entrepreneur, automotive journalist, [2] and former Hungarian bobsledder. He piloted [3] HUN1 in the two-man in the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, and in the four-man in the 1998 Nagano, Japan and 2002 Salt Lake City, USA games, respectively.

He is the founder of several businesses including My Yacht Group [4] [5] a luxury events company centered around charity-focused receptions on board Superyachts; [6] [7] and Entertainment MarketPlace, [8] a sponsorship and marketing company.

Personal life

Frankl is the son of Margaret "June" Frankl (3 March 1941 – 28 February 2017) and Andrew Frankl, a refugee of the Hungarian revolution who fled to London in 1956, and went on to become an automotive television, radio and print journalist [9] specializing in Formula One. [10]

Television and radio

Frankl has been featured in several programs including "Million Pound Mega Yachts", [11] centered around the annual Monaco Yacht Show, "How'd You Get So Rich (UK)", [12] hosted by comedienne Katherine Ryan, and "Georgey Tonight", a BBC Radio show presented by Georgey Spanswick. [13] He has been featured in the New York Times [14] in an article about the Bullrun Rally and its participants, and in Austin American Statesman [15] discussing the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.

Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II is an arcade-style Formula One racing video game developed and manufactured by Sega for the Sega Genesis and Mega Drive, Master System, and the Game Gear in 1992. It is a follow-up to Super Monaco GP. The game was also endorsed by, and had technical input from, the then-Formula One champion Ayrton Senna. M/Y Eclipse is a superyacht built by Blohm+Voss of Hamburg, Germany, the third longest afloat. Her exterior and interior were designed by Terence Disdale. At 162.5 metres long Eclipse was the world's longest private yacht until Azzam was launched in April 2013, which is 17.3 metres longer. The yacht's cost has been estimated at €340 million.

Lady Jorgia Yacht, manufactured in 2018 by Lürssen

Lady Jorgia is a 115.10 m (377.6 ft) superyacht built by Lürssen. Developed using the code name Project Enzo, it was launched at Lürssen's yard near Rendsburg in 2021 and delivered later that same year to Canadian-Jamaican billionaire Michael Lee-Chin under the name Ahpo. Ahpo was built as a replacement for Lee-Chin's previous yacht, Quattroelle, which he sold in 2014. Ahpo was listed for sale in February 2023. Three months later, in May 2023, it was sold for a rumoured €330 million, in what is "believed to be the biggest brokerage deal in history". Upon its sale, it was renamed Lady Jorgia. Her new owner is Canadian billionaire and former ice hockey goaltender Patrick Dovigi. Lady Jorgia made its first appearance after its sale at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix.
