Nicolas Aissat (born 24 July 1980 in Toulouse) is a retired French middle-distance runner who specialised in the 800 metres. [1] He represented his country at the 2004 Summer Olympics reaching the semifinals.

Letitia Alma Vriesde is a former track and field athlete from Suriname, who specialised in the 800 metres but was also successful over 1500 metres. She is the first sportsperson from Suriname to compete at five Olympic Games. She won a silver medal at the 1995 World Championships and a bronze medal at the 2001 World Championships. Vriesde holds the South American records for the 800 metres, 1000 metres and 1500 metres and also for the 3000 metres (indoors).
Lidia Chojecka-Leandro is a retired Polish middle- and long-distance runner who mainly competed in the 1500 metres and 3000 metres. She won bronze medals in the 1500 m at the 1997 and 1999 World Indoor Championships, and for the 3000 m at the 2006 World Indoor Championships. Chojecka is a six-time European Indoor Championships medallist in the 1500 m and 3000 m events, earning three golds and three silvers. She took the double at the 2007 European Indoor Championships, becoming the first runner, male or female, to win both events at the same championships. She had been one of the most consistent middle-distance runners in Europe throughout the 1990s, and finished fifth and sixth in back-to-back Olympic 1500 m finals in 2000 and 2004.
Yoann Kowal is a French middle and long-distance runner. He formerly specialized in the 1500 metres and 3000 metres steeplechase before switching to longer races such as the 10,000 metres.
Adam Piotr Kszczot is a retired Polish middle-distance runner who specialised in the 800 metres. His achievements include silver medals at the 2015 and 2017 World Championships in Athletics, gold at the 2018 World Indoor Championships as well as silver and bronze at the 2014 and 2010 World Indoor Championships respectively. Kszczot won three gold medals in the 800 m at both the European Outdoor and Indoor Championships. He twice competed at the Olympic Games, in 2012 and 2016, narrowly missing the final on both occasions.
Laetitia Valdonado is a retired French athlete who specialised in the 800 metres. She won the gold medal at the 2005 Mediterranean Games.
Stella Jongmans is a retired Dutch athlete who specialised in the 800 metres. She won the gold at the 1995 Summer Universiade and silver at the 1996 European Indoor Championships. In addition, she represented The Netherlands at two Olympic Games, in 1992 and 1996.
Anita Brägger is a retired Swiss middle-distance runner who competed mostly in the 800 metres. She represented her country at the 2004 Summer Olympics failing to qualify for the semifinals. In addition, she competed at three World Championships, in 1999, 2001 and 2003, reaching semifinals twice.
Nicholas Wachira is a Kenyan former middle-distance runner who competed mostly in the 800 metres. He represented his country at the 2001 and 2003 World Championships reaching semifinals at both occasions. In addition, he won gold medals at the 1999 World Youth and 2000 World Junior Championships.
Frédérique Quentin is a retired French athlete who specialised in the middle-distance events. She represented her country at the 1996 Summer Olympics, as well as three World Championships, without qualifying to the final.
Charles Grethen is a Luxembourgish middle-distance runner competing primarily in the 800 and 1500 metres. He represented his country at three consecutive European Championships.
Halimah Nakaayi is a Ugandan middle-distance runner who specialises in the 800 metres. She is the 2019 World Champion at the event and won the bronze medal at the 2022 World Indoor Championships. Nakaayi is the current Ugandan record holder for the 800 m both outdoors and indoors, and also for the 1000 metres.
Hervé Phélippeau is a retired French middle-distance runner who competed primarily in the 1500 metres. He won the gold medal at the 1989 European Indoor Championships. In addition, he represented his country at two World Indoor Championships.

Abdelkader Bakhtache is a retired French middle-distance runner who specialised in the 1500 metres. He represented his country at the 2010 World Indoor Championships without advancing from the first round. In addition, he finished fourth at the 2007 European Indoor Championships. Until 2006 he represented Algeria.

Tony van Diepen is a Dutch track and field athlete competing in the 400 and 800 metres. He won the bronze medal in the 400 m at the 2019 European Indoor Championships and silver at the 2021 European Indoor Championships. Van Diepen earned five medals with Dutch 4 × 400 m relays, either men's or mixed, at major championships, including silver for the men's relay at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
