Nigel Howe (born 7 April 1958) is a British property developer, and former CEO and now property projects manager[1] at Reading Football Club, who compete in EFL League One, the third level of the English football league system.
The majority of Howe's career was in property management before joining John Madejski in 1995 when he took over as chief executive of Reading F.C. Howe led the redevelopment of both the club's Madejski Stadium and its business management, and is also a non-executive director of a number of other businesses in which John Madejski has invested including the BenhamGoodhead Print Group, Sackville Properties and the Ark Group. He is also a non-executive director of the Clearview Traffic Group.
In January 2024, Howe, who had been asked by owner Dai Yongge to oversee the club's sale, said eight parties were interested in buying Reading but any sale would take at least two months to complete.[1]

The 2012–13 season was Reading Football Club's third season in the Premier League, and the first since their relegation to the Championship in 2008. Reading secured automatic promotion on 17 April 2012 following a 1–0 win against Nottingham Forest and were crowned as Championship winners four days later. They began the season in August with a 1–1 draw against Stoke City but had to wait until mid-November for their first league win, a 2–1 win over Everton on 17 November 2012. A run of four wins in six around January saw Brian McDermott and Adam Le Fondre named Manager of the Month and Player of the Month respectively, though one month later, after defeats by relegation rivals Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa, McDermott was sacked as the club's manager. He was replaced by Nigel Adkins on 26 March, ending Eamonn Dolan's two-week stint as caretaker manager. On 28 April, following a 0–0 home draw against Queens Park Rangers, Reading were relegated to the Championship for the 2013–14 season. They finished the season with six wins from 38 games, the lowest number in their history.

On 2 June 2014, Reading announced that Anton Zingarevich had left the board of the club.
The 2013–14 season was Reading Football Club's first season back in the Championship following the side's relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2012–13 season. It was also Nigel Adkins' only full season in charge of the club having succeeded Brian McDermott in March 2013.
