Nipplepeople (stylised in lowercase) is a Croatian electronic music duo formed in 2008 in Zagreb. They are known for their anonymity, performing with masks and avoiding personal identification. [1] The duo's music is often characterized as downtempo or synthwave.[ citation needed ] The duo is known for their cover of Zdenka Kovačiček's song "Frka", which became a hit in Croatia and Serbia.
Their breakthrough single, "Sutra", released in 2010, won the Loud & Queer Award for Single of the Year in Serbia. [2] Over the years, Nipplepeople has performed at some regional festivals, including Exit, Sea Star and Terraneo. Despite maintaining a low-profile public presence, the duo's music resonates strongly with fans and has garnered a significant following within the LGBTQ+ community. [1]
Their debut single, "Broj", was released in early 2009, with its music video, a live performance from MTV Adria's Hitorama, premiering two years later in February 2011. [3]
In March 2017, Nipplepeople released their rendition of Zdenka Kovačiček's 1981 hit "Frka". [4] The music was composed by Kire Mitrev, while the lyrics were adapted from Slavica Maras's poetry collection Konstatacija jedne mačke. [5]
On 5 December 2024, Nipplepeople were announced as one of 24 participants in Dora 2025 , the Croatian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, with the song "Znak". [6]

The NIN Award, officially the Award for Best Novel of the Year, is a prestigious Serbian literary award established in 1954 by the NIN weekly and is given annually for the best newly published novel written in Serbian. The award is presented every year in January by a panel of writers and critics. In addition to being a highly acclaimed award capable of transforming writers' literary careers, the award is also sought after because it virtually assures bestseller status for the winning novel. The literary website complete review called it the "leading Serbian literary prize" in 2012.

Antonija Šola is a Croatian musician, singer-songwriter, lyricist, actress and music producer. She is known for playing a main role of "Tina Bauer-Fijan" in first Croatian soap opera Zabranjena ljubav (2004–2008). In addition to her role in the series, she composed and wrote songs, and wrote the lyrics of the series' theme song. Jelena Rozga is a Croatian pop, folk, and electropop singer. Born and raised in Split, Croatia, Rozga was a ballet dancer as a child. She rose to fame in 1996, when she became the lead singer of Magazin, a pop band famous in Croatia. She served as the band's lead singer until 2006, releasing a total of five studio albums. During the ten years, the band released numerous commercially and critically successful singles including "Ginem", "Minut' srca tvog" and "Minus i plus" among others.
Sara Jovanović, professionally known as Sara Jo, is a Serbian singer, songwriter, model and actress. Born in Rome, she came to prominence upon competing on Prvi glas Srbije in 2012, finishing in 3rd place. Subsequently, as a member of Moje 3, Jovanović represented Serbia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden with "Ljubav je svuda". They placed 11th in the semi final, failing to reach the grand final.

The Music Awards Ceremony are annual popular music awards for Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, North Macedonia and Montenegro presented by Skymedia Group. The awards were first held on 29 January 2019 at the Belgrade Arena. The MAC is broadcast on several regional television networks, as well as via YouTube. It consists of up to 20 different categories, which are based on public votes, and other special awards, whose winners are determined by the organizers. MAC is recognized as one of the highest profile music awards ceremony in the western Balkans.
