Trapt is an American rock band formed in Los Gatos, California. Eight studio albums have been recorded to date: Amalgamation (1999), Trapt (2002), Someone in Control (2005), Only Through the Pain (2008), No Apologies (2010), Reborn (2013), DNA (2016), and Shadow Work (2020), and their upcoming ninth album The Fall (2024) is set for release in May. Its lineup for all studio recordings have consisted of Chris Taylor Brown (vocals) and Pete Charell (bass), with various members filling other roles over the course of their career.

The live album contains two new studio tracks, "Stay Alive" and "Everything to Lose", while the rest was recorded during live performances. "Stay Alive" was released as a single in 2007.

The band is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, and Perttu Kivilaakso, and jazz drummer Mikko Sirén. Originally a classical-style Metallica tribute band, the band eventually adopted a neoclassical metal style without the use of conventional guitars and bass. They have sold over four million albums to date.

It is their last album to feature original guitarist Simon Ormandy before he left the band shortly before the album's release.
Eyes Set to Kill is an American post-hardcore and metalcore band from Tempe, Arizona. The Rodriguez sisters, lead guitarist Alexia and bassist Anissa, along with vocalist Lindsey Vogt started the band in 2003. After Lindsey's departure, Alexia assumed her position as lead vocalist as well as guitarist. Anissa left in late 2016 but returned to the band in 2023.

The album was produced by lead vocalist Chris Taylor Brown and co-produced, engineered, and mixed by Matt Thorne, who produced the band's live album Trapt Live! and compilation album Headstrong.

Self-produced by the group, it was the sole recording that the band self-released after their departure from Interscope/DGC in October 2012, as well as their last studio recording with Tom DeLonge until 2022.
