Elvin Estela (born March 14, 1977 [1] ), better known by his stage name Nobody, is an American hip hop producer based in Los Angeles, California. [2] He is a resident DJ at Low End Theory. [3] He has collaborated with 2Mex, Abstract Rude, Freestyle Fellowship, [4] Busdriver, and Mystic Chords of Memory. [5] He has also been a member of Blank Blue [6] and Bomb Zombies. [7] Better Propaganda placed him at number 73 on the "Top 100 Artists of the Decade" list. [8]

Life and career

Nobody's solo debut album, Soulmates, was released on Ubiquity Records in 2000. [9] The second solo album, Pacific Drift: Western Water Music Vol. 1, was released in 2003. [10] He released the third solo album, And Everything Else... , on Plug Research in 2005. [11] It features guest appearances from Mia Doi Todd, Prefuse 73 and Xololanxinxo, among others. [12]

Nobody wrote the article about 1960s psychedelic rock for XLR8R in 2006. [13]

In 2008, Estela released the album, Western Water Music Vol. II, [14] on Ubiquity Records under the Blank Blue moniker, a collaboration with Niki Randa. [15] It is the official follow-up to his 2003 album, Pacific Draft: Western Water Music Vol. 1. [16] [17] The duo's sound has been compared to The Monkees, DJ Shadow, and J Dilla. [18] Live the pair have been assisted by drummer Andres Renteria and bassist Brian Akio Martinez. [19]

The fourth solo album, One for All Without Hesitation, was released on Alpha Pup Records in 2010. [20]

He returned with Vivid Green, an album featuring Cedric Bixler-Zavala, Nocando and Baths, in 2013. [21]

Alfred Darlington, better known by their stage name Daedelus, is an American record producer based in Los Angeles, California. They are a part of the groups The Long Lost and Adventure Time. They are affiliated with the internet radio station Dublab.

Aaron Pointer, better known by his stage name Abstract Rude, is a rapper from Los Angeles, California.

Avantcore 2005 single by Busdriver

Avantcore is a single by underground hip hop artist Busdriver from his album Fear of a Black Tangent. It was released on Mush Records in 2005. The title track "Avantcore" includes a sample of the song "Turtles Have Short Legs" by Can.

Jimmy the Lock is the debut solo studio album by American rapper Nocando. It was released by Alpha Pup Records on January 26, 2010. It includes productions from Nosaj Thing, Nobody, Thavius Beck, Free the Robots, and Daedelus. The remix version of "Hurry Up and Wait" was premiered by Los Angeles Times in May 2010.

Dave Cuasito, better known by his stage name D-Styles, is a hip hop producer and DJ. He has been a member of Invisibl Skratch Piklz, Beat Junkies, and Third Sight. He has also been a resident DJ of Low End Theory. D-styles is an instructor at the Beat Junkies Institute of Sound.

Bomb Zombies is an American alternative hip hop duo based in Los Angeles, California. It consists of producer Nobody and rapper Nocando, who are both residents of Low End Theory.
