The Northern Panhandle is the northern of the two panhandles in the U.S. state of West Virginia. It is a culturally and geographically distinct region of the state. Crozier Strait is a natural waterway in Qikiqtaaluk, Nunavut, Canada. It separates Bathurst Island's Gregory Peninsula to the west from Milne Island and Little Cornwallis Island to the east. The strait, an arm of the Arctic Ocean, connects Queens Channel to the north with the McDougall Sound to the south. Kalvik Island is located within the strait, as is Karluk Island, an archaeological site.

It is situated in the western bank of the Rio Órbigo. In addition to Carrizo, the municipality includes the villages of Huerga del Río, La Milla del Río, Quiñones del Río and Villanueva de Carrizo.
Piikani 147, formerly Peigan 147, is an Indian reserve of the Piikani Nation in Alberta. It is located 61 km (38 mi) west of the City of Lethbridge. It has a land area of 426.992 km2 (164.863 sq mi), making it the fourth-largest Indian reserve in Canada, and lies at an elevation of 1,046 m (3,432 ft). The Canada 2011 Census reported a population of 1,217 inhabitants. It is bordered by the Municipal District of Willow Creek No. 26 on its north and east, and by the Municipal District of Pincher Creek No. 9 on its west and south. The nearest outside communities are Fort Macleod and Pincher Creek.
DeGanahl Glacier is a narrow, steep-walled glacier about 10 nautical miles (20 km) long, flowing southeast from Jones Peak into the western side of Liv Glacier, opposite June Nunatak. It was discovered and photographed by Rear Admiral Byrd on the South Pole Flight in November 1929 and named for Joe deGanahl, a navigator and dog driver and a member of the Supporting Party for the Byrd Antarctic Expedition, 1928–30.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Accra Metropolitan District in 1988, until a small portion of the district was split off to create Ayawaso North Municipal District on 15 March 2018; thus the remaining part has been retained as Accra Metropolitan District. The municipality is located in the central part of Greater Accra Region and has Accra Newtown as its capital town.
