The New York Islanders are a professional ice hockey team based in Elmont, New York. The Islanders compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference. The team plays its home games at UBS Arena. The Islanders are one of three NHL franchises in the New York metropolitan area, along with the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers, and their fanbase resides primarily on Long Island.

Michael James Milbury is an American former professional ice hockey player and current sports announcer. He played for twelve seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), all for the Boston Bruins. He helped the Bruins reach the Stanley Cup Finals in 1977 and 1978.
Raymond Vincent Ferraro is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and current broadcaster for ESPN/ABC and select Vancouver Canucks games on Sportsnet. He played for 18 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Hartford Whalers (1984–1990), New York Islanders (1990–1995), New York Rangers (1995–1996), Los Angeles Kings (1996–1999), Atlanta Thrashers (1999–2002), and St. Louis Blues (2002).
Ridder Arena is an indoor ice rink at the University of Minnesota, and home to the Minnesota Golden Gophers women's ice hockey team. The arena is adjacent to the men's 3M Arena at Mariucci. It was completed in 2002, and includes the connected Baseline Tennis Center for the men's and women's tennis teams. It was the first facility in the United States built specifically for college women's ice hockey, and has hosted the NCAA Women's Frozen Four on four occasions. The arena is named for benefactors Robert Ridder and Kathleen Ridder.

Canlan Sports – York is an ice hockey arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and is operated by Canlan Ice Sports Corporation. It is the main ice rink at York University's Keele Campus, as the home of the York Lions men's and women's varsity hockey teams. It is also the home of the Toronto Six of the Premier Hockey Federation. The facility opened in 1996 as the Beatrice Ice Gardens, and has one Olympic-sized and five NHL-sized ice rinks. The seating capacity for the largest rink is 1,200. The arena has also been used for National Hockey League training camps.

The 2009–10 NHL season was the 93rd season of operation of the National Hockey League (NHL). It ran from October 1, 2009—including four games in Europe on October 2 and 3—until April 11, 2010, with the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs running to June 9, 2010. A mid-season break from February 15 to February 28 occurred to allow participation of NHL players in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Because of the Winter Olympics break, there was no NHL All-Star Game for 2010. The Stanley Cup Finals saw the Chicago Blackhawks defeat the Philadelphia Flyers in six games, for their first championship since the 1960–61 season.

It is owned and operated by the New York Islanders, an NHL team, and is used primarily as a practice facility. Additionally the arena is available to the local community for a variety of reasons, including 'learning to skate', house leagues and summer camps.
Sharks Ice San Jose is an indoor ice rink in San Jose, California, United States. The largest ice rink facility in the Western United States, Solar4America Ice serves as the official training facility for the NHL San Jose Sharks and the home arena for San Jose State University's Spartans hockey team. The facility opened in 1994 and was expanded in 2000 and 2005. Roofing contractor PetersenDean bought naming rights to the facility in 2016, renaming the facility after its Solar4America solar roofing brand. After PetersenDean's bankruptcy in 2020, the name reverted to Sharks Ice
UBS Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena located within Belmont Park in Elmont, New York, on Long Island. The venue is situated directly adjacent to the eastern limits of the borough of Queens in New York City. Opened in 2021, it is the home of the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL), replacing the Nassau Coliseum and Barclays Center. The arena officially seats 17,250 patrons for NHL games and up to 19,000 for concerts and other select events. Fans and sports writers have affectionately nicknamed the arena "The Stable", due to the arena being located at Belmont Park, a famous thoroughbred racing venue.

They play their home games at Islanders Iceworks in Syosset, New York and Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow, New York.
Great Park Ice & FivePoint Arena is a 2,500 seat 4 rink ice hockey facility in Irvine, California. It serves as the practice facility of the Anaheim Ducks, after leaving Anaheim Ice. The facility includes a team store, restaurant, pro shop, arcade, and other amenities. As one of The Rinks facilities, Great Park Ice offers youth and adult hockey, curling, ice skating lessons, figure skating, and public skating hours. The complex is also surrounded by Orange County Great Park which has other sports facilities.
