Mathieu Darche (born November 26, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played for several AHL and NHL clubs. Mathieu is the younger brother of long snapper J. P. Darche. After attending the New Jersey Devils training camp in January 2013, he was asked to stay with the team but ultimately chose to retire. [1]
Darche played hockey at Choate Rosemary Hall and graduated in 1996. He has a commerce degree in marketing and international business from McGill University. [2] While attending university, Darche played four seasons of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) hockey, where in his last year, he was named the CIS Outstanding student-athlete and was awarded the Dr. Randy Gregg Award. [3]
During the 2004–05 NHL lockout, Darche spent a full season with the Hershey Bears of the AHL.
He played for the Füchse Duisburg of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) in 2005–06 and also split four seasons between the NHL and AHL with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Nashville Predators, and their affiliates. In 2006–07, he played a few games with the San Jose Sharks of the NHL but spent most of the season playing for the team's AHL affiliate, the Worcester Sharks. In 2007–08, Darche played with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
After starting the 2009–10 season playing for its AHL affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs he was recalled and played his first game as a Canadien on January 20, 2010, versus the St. Louis Blues and scored his first goal for the team on January 22 versus the New Jersey Devils, which was a game-winning goal. Darche served as Vice-President of Sales and Marketing in Canada for Delmar International Inc. [5] before becoming the Director of Hockey Operations for the Tampa Bay Lightning on May 6, 2019. He would win two Stanley Cups in the role in 2020 and 2021. [6]

Joseph Marc Denis is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender, who last played with the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). For the 2009–10 season, he was hired as the goaltenders' coach of the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, a Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) team. He is currently working as a colour analyst for the Francophone Canadian sports station, RDS. He is the all time leader in save percentage in the shootout among goaltenders who have faced at least 40 shootout attempts.
Joseph Marc-André Bergeron is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman who played ten seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) before spending the later years of his career with the ZSC Lions of the National League (NL). Darren William Rumble is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former professional ice hockey player. Rumble played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Ottawa Senators, St. Louis Blues and Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL), but played most of his career with various minor league teams, winning the Eddie Shore Award as the American Hockey League (AHL)'s best defenceman in 1997. He won the Stanley Cup with the Lightning in 2004. After retiring later that year, Rumble became an assistant coach with the Springfield Falcons of the AHL. He became head coach of the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL in 2008, holding the position until January 2010. He then took up various coaching positions in the minor leagues. He has served as head coach of the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League.

The series was between the Montreal Canadiens and the defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning won the best-of-seven series, four games to one, for their second consecutive and the third overall championship in franchise history. Tampa Bay had home-ice advantage in the series with the better regular season record.
