The Nashville Predators are an American professional ice hockey team based in Nashville, Tennessee. They play in the Central Division of the Western Conference in the National Hockey League (NHL). [1] The team joined the NHL in 1998 as an expansion team and have played their home games at the Bridgestone Arena since their inaugural season. David Poile had been the team's sole general manager since their inception. On February 26, 2023, it was announced Poile would retire from the position and that former head coach Barry Trotz would replace him effective July 1, 2023. [2]

The 2022–23 Nashville Predators season was the 25th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established on June 25, 1997. The Predators were eliminated from playoff contention after the Winnipeg Jets won against the Minnesota Wild on April 11, 2023, and missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2013–14 season.

The 2023–24 NHL season is scheduled to be the 107th season of operation of the National Hockey League (NHL). The regular season is planned to be held from October 10, 2023, to April 18, 2024, followed by the Stanley Cup playoffs shortly after the end of the regular season. The Vegas Golden Knights are the defending Stanley Cup champions.
