The Nashville Predators are an American professional ice hockey team based in Nashville, Tennessee. They play in the Central Division of the Western Conference in the National Hockey League (NHL). [1] The team joined the NHL in 1998 as an expansion team and have played their home games at the Bridgestone Arena since their inaugural season. David Poile had been the team's sole general manager since their inception. On February 26, 2023, it was announced Poile would retire from the position and that former head coach Barry Trotz would replace him effective July 1, 2023. [2]

The Arizona Coyotes are an inactive professional ice hockey team based in the Phoenix metropolitan area, which competed in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Central Division and the Pacific Division (1998–2020) in the Western Conference, and the West Division (2020–2021). Barry Trotz is a Canadian ice hockey executive, former player and coach. He is the general manager for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). Prior to that he served as an advisor to General Manager David Poile. He is the former head coach of the Nashville Predators, Washington Capitals and New York Islanders. Trotz is known for his defensive-minded coaching style and is currently ranked third all-time in NHL coaching wins, behind only Scotty Bowman and Joel Quenneville. He is often referred to by fans and players as "Trotzy".

David A. Legwand is an American former professional ice hockey forward who played 16 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was the first player ever drafted by the Nashville Predators, with whom he spent 12 full seasons and set several franchise records. James Michael Vesey is an American professional ice hockey left winger for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Nashville Predators in the third round, 66th overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Vesey attended Harvard and won the Hobey Baker Award in 2016. In 2016 he signed as a free-agent with the New York Rangers with whom he played 3 seasons, before playing the next 3 seasons for the Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks and New Jersey Devils. He re-signed with the Rangers in 2022.
Eeli Tolvanen is a Finnish professional ice hockey forward for the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL). Tolvanen was selected by the Nashville Predators 30th overall, in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He was born and grew up in Vihti, Finland.
