The Norwegian Federation of American Sports (Norwegian : Norges Amerikanske Idretters Forbund;NAIF) is the governing body for American football, cheerleading, disc sports, and lacrosse in Norway. It was created on January 1, 2010 by the merger of the Norwegian American Football and Cheerleading Federation (Norges Amerikansk Fotball og Cheerleading Forbund), the Norwegian Frisbee Federation (Norges Frisbeeforbund), and the Norwegian Lacrosse Federation (Norges Lacrosse Forbund). [1] NAIF is a member of the Norwegian Olympic Committee, [2] the International Federation of American Football, [3] the International Cheer Union, [4] the World Flying Disc Federation, [5] and World Lacrosse. WFDF is an international federation recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), a member of ARISF, GAISF, and the International World Games Association, and it is a registered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation in the state of Colorado, USA.

The International Federation of American Football (IFAF) is the international governing body of gridiron associations. The IFAF oversees the IFAF World Championship of American Football, which is held every four years. The IFAF became a provisionary member of SportAccord in 2003, and became a full SportAccord member in 2005. The organisation's head office is located in the French commune of La Courneuve, in the Île-de-France region.

Bergen Storm

The Bergen Storm is an American football team based in Bergen, Norway. Bergen Storm is the 3rd oldest existing team in Norwegian American Football. They are members of the Norges Amerikanske Idretters Forbund (NAIF) - Amerikansk Fotball Norge (AFN). The team plays its home games at Varden Kunstgress field in Bergen.

Oslo Vikings is an American football club located in Oslo, Norway, that competes in the Eliteserien of the Norges Amerikanske Idretters Forbund, and the European Federation of American Football tournaments.

USA Football

USA Football is the national governing body for amateur American football in the United States. It is an independent non-profit based in Indianapolis, Indiana. USA Football hosts more than 100 training events annually and offers education programs for coaches and game officials, as well as skill development for young players and resources for youth league administrators. The organization awards more than $1,000,000 in equipment grants to youth leagues and high schools each year based on merit and need along with additional resources. USA Football also offers up to $500,000 in subsidies for volunteer youth coach background checks.

Global Association of International Sports Federations is the umbrella organisation for all international sports federations as well as organisers of multi-sports games and sport-related international associations. GAISF is an international sport organisation with 95 full members and 20 associate members.

Roope Noronen is the president of American Football Association of Finland, SAJL.

The Norway men's national pitch and putt team represents Norway in the pitch and putt international competitions. It is managed by the Norges Pitch & Putt Forbund (NPPF).

The Danish Orienteering Federation is the national Orienteering Association in Denmark. It is recognized as the orienteering association for Denmark by the International Orienteering Federation, of which it is a member.

International Federation of Cheerleading

The International Federation of Cheerleading (IFC) was formed in 1998 and is a non-profit federation based in Tokyo, Japan.

Norwegian Automobile Federation

Norwegian Automobile Federation is a Norwegian association of car owners, established in 1924, and member of Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile. The federation has 73 local chapters and more than 500,000 members. NAF is running a number of test stations, skidpans and camping sites. Among its publications is the monthly magazine Motor and the triannual NAF Veibok.

International Cheer Union

The International Cheer Union (ICU) is the worldwide sports governing body of cheerleading and is provisionally recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as such. ICU was founded in 2004, is also recognized by SportAccord / Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF), and is a member of the Association of IOC Recognized International Sports Federations (ARISF). Its membership includes 116 National Cheer Federations on all continents - reaching over 5 million athletes globally.

Norwegian Softball and Baseball Federation

The Norwegian Softball and Baseball Federation is the governing body for baseball and softball in Norway. It is a member of the Norwegian Olympic Committee, the Confederation of European Baseball, and the European Softball Federation. The NSBF runs two leagues in Norway, the Norsk Baseballiga 1st and 2nd divisions, as well as Norway's national baseball team and national softball team.

In Australia, competitive cheerleading is a rapidly growing sport.
