Nottinghamians RFC is a rugby unionclub that plays in Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham, England. The club started out as Old Nottinghamians, a club for former pupils of Nottingham High School. The club's ground, on Adbolton Lane next to the National Watersports Centre, is still owned by the Old Nottinghamians Sports Club. In the summer the ground is used by Nottingham Cricket Club. Since 1971, the club has been known simply as "Nottinghamians", and it is no longer a requirement that members should be old boys of the High School.
Nottinghamians RFC currently runs two men's open age sides and one men's veteran side. Owing to the connections with the High School it was never deemed appropriate for the club to run junior sides.

Nottingham Outlaws are a rugby league club from the city of Nottingham, England. They were founded in 1999 and their first team plays in the Premier Division of the Yorkshire Men's League. They have a junior section and in 2006 launched an academy team. They play their home matches at their own ground at Lenton Lane Nottingham NG7. They are also known as the 'hooded men'.

Broadstreet Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club based in the city of Coventry, West Midlands, England. The club currently play in Regional 1 Midlands; at the fifth tier of the English rugby union system, following their relegation from National League 2 South at the end of the 2017–18 season. The 2014–15 season was the third time the club had played in the fourth tier of English rugby, but the first time it had maintained at that level. Furthermore, the club have also recently enjoyed success, by winning the Warwickshire Cup.

Nottingham Moderns Rugby Football Club is an amateur Rugby Union team based in Wilford, a suburb of Nottingham, England. The 1st XV currently compete within the RFU English rugby union system and play in Midlands 3 East (North) following their promotion from Midlands 4 East (North) as runners up at the end of the 2016–17 season. The club plays at their own Ferryfields ground on the banks of the River Trent, close to the Wilford Toll Bridge. The club has been in continuous existence since 1956, enjoying a nomadic existence before settling at their current home in 1975. In the 2010–11 season the club was awarded a prestigious President's XV award from the RFU, recognising the links the club has formed with the local universities. The club has also been awarded a further RFU President's XV award in the 2012–13 season, this time in the Community Engagement category.

Rugby union is one of the most popular sports, in terms of both participants and spectators in London. London has several of England's leading rugby union clubs, and the city is home to 13 teams playing in national leagues, and many regional amateur leagues regulated by the London and South East Division Rugby Football Union. However, several of these teams, due to necessity, have found homes at stadia outside the boundaries of the capital. Long Eaton RFC are a rugby union club based in Long Eaton, Derbyshire, UK. They play in Midlands 1 East following their promotion from Midlands 2 East (North) as champions at the end of the 2020-21 season with over 100 points. Prior to that they were 2017-2018 champions of RFU Midlands Division 3 East (North) and 2016-17 champions of RFU Midlands Division 4 East (North) having remained unbeaten for both seasons. They are also won 2016-17 RFU Junior Vase, narrowly missing out on the national final. The East Midlands Rugby Football Union (EMRFU) is a governing body for rugby union in part of The Midlands, England. The union is the constituent body of the Rugby Football Union for the counties of Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire and the Huntingdonshire and Peterborough districts of Cambridgeshire and administers and organises rugby union clubs and competitions in those areas. It also administers the East Midlands county rugby representative teams.

As well as overseeing club rugby, the Notts, Lincs and Derbyshire RFU also administers the county representative teams.
Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire 3 was a tier 11 English Rugby Union league with teams from Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire taking part. Promoted teams moved up to Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire 2 and since the cancellation of Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire 4 at the end of the 1995–96 season there was no relegation.
Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire/Leicestershire 1 East was a tier 9 division in the English rugby union system with teams from Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and the eastern region of Leicestershire taking part. Promoted teams moved up to Midlands 4 East (North) and relegated teams dropped to Notts, Lincs & Derbyshire/Leicestershire 2 East.
