OMG HGB DVD ROTFL is a DVD by American rock band Hellogoodbye. It contains two hours of music videos, tour footage, a full 40-minute concert and a 30-minute acoustic set.
It was announced on November 4, 2005, and released on November 22 through Drive-Thru Records. [1]
The title is composed of acronyms used in internet slang, and stands for "Oh my God/Hellogoodbye/Digital versatile disc/Rolling on the floor, laughing". When designing the artwork for the DVD jacket, vocalist/guitarist Forrest Kline initially intended it to be a space filler until they would find a serious title. However, OMG HGB DVD ROTFL stuck.
The DVD's first segment comprises the band's five music videos to all the songs off their Hellogoodbye EP, along with a making of montage. [1] All of the videos show the band in ridiculous costumes and/or comedic alter egos – from a parody of Baywatch in "Shimmy Shimmy Quarter Turn", directed by Darren Doane, via a tennis match in "Call n' Return", directed by Scott Culver, to players, German exchange students and finger puppets in the remaining three videos, which were all directed by Jonathan London and filmed exclusively for the DVD.
Secondly, OMG HGB DVD ROTFL contains a 40-minute concert, filmed in high-definition at the band's stop at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California on July 14, 2005, during their tour with Houston Calls, JamisonParker and The Rocket Summer. Following a short pre-show interview, the band plays an eleven song set, including their entire debut EP.
Following the House of Blues performance is a 30-minute unplugged benefit concert for the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, recorded at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, California on January 7, 2005. Hellogoodbye play calmer interpretations of their songs using banjos, rattles, a glockenspiel and similar acoustic instruments. Kurvink and Profeta's musician fathers joined the band onstage for "Fly Me to the Moon".[ citation needed ]
Lastly, the DVD features approximately twenty minutes of road stories and touring antics, shot during their West Coast tour with Houston Calls, JamisonParker and The Rocket Summer. Besides containing another acoustic rendition of "Homewrecker", the segment also gives insight on Hellogoodbye's backstage routines, such as blowing up inflatable pool toys and waging Super Soaker wars on Houston Calls. In addition, the tour is documented by a photo slideshow.

Drive-Thru Records was a California-based independent record label owned by siblings Richard and Stefanie Reines. The label was partially responsible for popularizing the pop-punk/emo sound of the early to mid-2000s. After facing financial obstacles in getting their bands' music into stores, Drive-Thru entered into a distribution deal with MCA/Universal. MCA was dissolved and changed into Geffen Records. One of the clauses of that agreement was MCA/Geffen being able to sign any band of their choosing from Drive-Thru's roster.
Hellogoodbye is the eponymous debut EP from Hellogoodbye. It was released on August 17, 2004 by Drive-Thru Records. All the vocals and instruments were recorded solely by Forrest Kline, except for the lead vocals on track 4, which were performed by Jesse Kurvink.
Hellogoodbye is a pop rock band that was formed in Huntington Beach, California in 2001 by singer Forrest Kline. The album was released in the United Kingdom and Europe by LAB Records on the 14 March 2011. Hellogoodbye released their third album, Everything Is Debatable, on October 29, 2013, while touring as the opening act for Paramore's The Self-Titled Tour. JamisonParker were an American emo duo in the early to mid-2000s, consisting of singer/guitarist Jamison Covington and guitarist/bassist/drummer Parker Case. While active, they released an EP titled Notes & Photographs (2003) and an album titled Sleepwalker (2005), and managed to play over 200 concerts across the United States.

Talk to the Hand: Live in Michigan is a live album and DVD concert video release from Canadian band Barenaked Ladies, produced by Morningstar Entertainment, Groovepix, and Desperation Records. The DVD is their third DVD-video release, and their first feature-length concert video offered for sale. The CD is their second widely released live album after Rock Spectacle (1996), not including their management company's sale of most of their live concert recordings via online download or shipped CD-R, several of which saw limited in-store release in certain localities. The concert was recorded at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan on June 15, 2007 during the BLAM Tour. The video was allegedly shot in conjunction with the local Detroit PBS affiliate, WTVS, with plans to air the special on their station. The special has aired on the Toronto-based Canadian station SUN TV on October 12, 2007.
Songs from Tsongas is a live video and album by the English rock band Yes, released on DVD in 2005 and CD and Blu-ray in 2014 by Image Entertainment. It was recorded at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, Massachusetts on 15 May 2004 during the band's 2004 tour in celebration of their 35th anniversary.
