Funk Volume was an American independent record label founded by American rapper Hopsin. The label was home to artists Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton, SwizZz, and producers DJ Hoppa and Kato. The label is defunct due to a feud between co-founders Hopsin and Damien "Dame" Ritter in regards to financial alterations. Following the feud Hopsin decided to leave the label, resulting in all affiliated artists leaving Funk Volume. The label was shut down soon after. Hopsin and Dame have made up in 2021.

Northsbest is the debut studio album by American rapper Lil Mosey. It was released on October 19, 2018, by Mogul Vision Music and Interscope Records. It is his major label debut, and shares the same name as his 2017 mixtape NorthsBest. The album was preceded by four singles: "Pull Up", "Boof Pack", "Noticed" and "Yoppa". All eleven tracks were produced by Royce David except for "Pull Up", while "Yoppa" is the only song containing a guest appearance, with BlocBoy JB appearing on the track. Northsbest peaked at number 29 on the US Billboard 200. In addition, "Noticed" was a huge commercial success, going on to become one of Mosey's most popular songs to date.
Trunk Muzik III is the fifth studio album by American rapper Yelawolf, released on March 29, 2019. It is his final album under Eminem's imprint Shady Records, and was released in conjunction with Interscope Records and Yelawolf's own label Slumerican. The album marks a return to an emphasis on the southern hip hop sound that was predominant in Yelawolf's music at the start of the decade, a contrast to the country-folk and hip hop fusions of his previous two albums. While the album is titled as the third in the Trunk Muzik series, it is, technically, the fourth, following his 2009 mixtape Trunk Muzik, its subsequent 2010 reissue Trunk Muzik 0-60, and 2013's Trunk Muzik Returns.
