Ogden Reservoir is a reservoir in the Piethorne Valley, close to Milnrow and Newhey in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, within Greater Manchester, England.
The reservoir was commissioned in 1878 collecting water from Piethorne Brook and Wickenhall Brook, to provide drinking water for Oldham.
This water is an excellent and well regarded fishing water. The fishing for roach perch bream carp and pike is outstanding and it is a joy to fish in such a peaceful location situated in the beautiful Pennine Hills. Fish caught in the 2007 and 2008 seasons include Bream to 13 lb, Carp to 28 lb and Pike to 25 lb. Day tickets are available.
In the year 2005, the body of a man was discovered floating on a nearby overflow. [1]

Lifford Reservoir in the Kings Norton district of Birmingham, England was built by the Worcester & Birmingham Canal company in 1815 to compensate Lifford Mill for water lost to the canal. It is located at the junction of the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal and the Worcester and Birmingham Canal and is on the River Rea Cycle Route. Angling is permitted subject to a charge outside the spring close season. Fish in the reservoir include tench, carp, pike, eels, perch, roach and bream.

Earlswood Lakes is the modern name for three man-made reservoirs which were built in the 1820s at Earlswood in Warwickshire, England, to supply water to the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal. They still supply the canal, and also provide leisure facilities, including sailing, fishing, and walking. The northern banks of the lakes form the borough and county boundary with the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull and the West Midlands.
Llandegfedd Reservoir is a large 174 hectare water supply reservoir and is eight miles (13 km) north of Newport in south Wales. The reservoir is very close to Pontypool, Cwmbran and Usk, with the boundary between Monmouthshire and Torfaen running through it along the former Sôr Brook. It was built over 7 properties from a compulsory purchase order, where the farmers and families had to fight for the money owed to them.

Stowe Pool is a reservoir located in the city of Lichfield, Staffordshire. Formerly a fishery, Stowe Pool was turned into a reservoir in 1856 by the South Staffordshire Waterworks Co. Before 1856, Stowe Pool existed as a mill pond, with Stowe mill located just to the west of St Chad's Church. Since 1968 the reservoir has not been used for supply and is now a public amenity used for recreation purposes. Stowe Pool is a designated SSSI site as it is home to the native white-clawed crayfish.

Inniscarra Lake is located along the River Lee in County Cork, Ireland. It is a man-made reservoir formed in the 1950s when Inniscarra Dam was constructed by the Electricity Supply Board. Construction of the dam commenced in 1953, with its floodgates first closed in 1956 and the reservoir fully formed by late 1957.
The Slade Reservoirs are twin reservoirs in the North Devon town of Ilfracombe, England. They are owned by South West Water, and leased to South West Lakes Trust. While no longer used for water supply, they are used as fisheries. The waterworks has since been demolished, Ilfracombe's main waterworks is now Hore Down Works on the outskirts of the town. Higher and Lower Slade Reservoirs were originally impounded for potable water supply but local knowledge suggests this reservoir is no longer used. The reservoir has a 6-acre mixed fishery managed by SW Lakes Trust.
Zhrebchevo Reservoir is a large dam and reservoir in central Bulgaria, situated between the Sub-Balkan valleys of Kazanlak and Tvarditsa that lie between the Balkan Mountains to the north and the Sredna Gora mountain range to the south. Administratively, the reservoir is located in the municipalities of Gurkovo and Nikolaevo of Stara Zagora Province and Tvarditsa and Nova Zagora of Sliven Province. Close to its shores are the towns of Gurkovo and Nikolaevo, as well as the villages of Panicherevo, Banya, and Asenovets.
