Lee Kang-seok is a South Korean speed skater. He is the 2007 and 2009 World Champion for 500 m. At the 2006 Winter Olympics, he won a bronze medal in the 500 m. He is the second South Korean person to win a medal in an event outside of short track speedskating, and he has become a representative to show that South Korea is expanding towards cultivating their athletes to excel in sports other than short track speed skating.

Choi Seung-yong is a South Korean female speed skater. She competed at the 1998, 2002 and 2006 edition of Winter Olympics. She qualified for the Olympic in 1998, in which she placed both 24th in 500 m and 1000 m. She again qualified for the Olympics in 2002, and placed 18th in the 500 m and 32nd in the 1000 m. Her last Olympic ended up 18th in 500m.
Lee Seung-yong is a South Korean fencer and PE teacher at Osung High School in Daegu. He competed in the team foil events at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. After his career as fencer, he is hired by Osung High School as PE teacher where is his alma matar. He taught Gu Bon-gil, Oh Eun-seok and Do Gyeong-dong when they attended Osung Middle School and Osung High School in Daegu, North Gyeongsang Province, Korea
Jorien ter Mors is a retired Dutch speed skater on both short track and long track. She was the Olympic champion in the 1500 metres and team pursuit at the 2014 Winter Olympics and the 1000 metres at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
