Ohio's 10th senatorial district has been based in south-central Ohio. It comprises the counties of Clark, Greene and Madison. It encompasses Ohio House districts 73, 74 and 79. It has a Cook PVI of R+7. Its current Ohio Senator is Republican Bob Hackett. He resides in Madison County.

Bob Peterson (Ohio politician)

Bob Peterson is an American politician serving as a Republican member of the Ohio Senate from the 17th District, where he currently serves as President Pro Tempore. From 2011 to 2012, he served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 85th district. Before being elected to the Ohio House of Representatives, he was Fayette County Commissioner for 14 years. He was first elected as a state representative in November 2010.

2021 Ohios 15th congressional district special election Election following resignation of Steve Stivers

On May 16, 2021, Representative Steve Stivers resigned from his seat in the United States House of Representatives to become president and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Following Stivers' official communication of his intent to resign, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that the special election to fill the remainder of his term would be held on November 2, 2021, with the primary election held on August 3, concurrent with the special election in Ohio's 11th congressional district.
