It was released in October 2000 as the second single from the album One Voice . The song reached number 33 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. [1] and number 63 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album from the single is taken was certified two-times multi-platinum in the United States.
The song is about a boy reuniting with his birth father and his half-brother after somehow losing his mother and being put into foster care which he was shuffled around until his father was discovered.
"Oklahoma" debuted at number 66 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart for the chart week of October 14, 2000.

William Wendell Gilman III, known professionally as Billy Gilman, is an American country music singer. Starting as a young country artist, he is known for his debut single "One Voice", a top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and a top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 2000. He has released five albums, including three for Epic Nashville. In 2016, Gilman auditioned for season 11 of the US edition of The Voice and competed as part of Team Adam Levine, finishing as runner-up for the season.
Jessica Danielle Andrews Chagnon is an American country music singer. At age 15 in mid-1999, she made her debut on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts with the single "I Will Be There for You", from her debut album Heart Shaped World, released in 1999 on DreamWorks Records Nashville. Andrews had her biggest chart success in 2001 with the song "Who I Am", a No. 1 country hit and the title track of her second studio album, which was certified gold in the United States. A third album, Now was released in 2003 to lower sales, while a fourth album was never released due to DreamWorks' closure. In late 2008, Andrews signed to Carolwood Records, an imprint of Lyric Street Records, however, she was dropped from the label in 2009 without issuing an album.
