Oliver Webber (born 26 June 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for National League club Woking. Born in England, he represented Northern Ireland at youth international level.

Club career

Born in Portsmouth, [1] Webber spent his early career with Northern Irish clubs Ards Rangers and Glentoran. [2] He joined Crystal Palace in 2016. [3] Webber also spent time on loan at Isthmian League sides Whyteleafe and Greenwich Borough during the 2018–19 campaign. [4] [5] He turned professional with Palace in May 2019, [6] extending the contract in July 2020. [7]

After a loan spell with Dover Athletic in January 2021, [8] he signed for Portsmouth in January 2022. [3] [9]

He returned to Glentoran in July 2022. [10] [11] Webber was described as a "hero" after saving two penalties in the County Antrim Shield in September 2023, [12] [13] and first choice goalkeeper Aaron McCarey said that Webber deserved his chance in the first-team. [14]

On 7 May 2024, it was announced that Webber would be one of ten players departing Glentoran upon the expiry of their contracts. [15]

On 14 August 2024, having impressed with the club on trial, Webber signed for National League side Woking. [16]

International career

Webber is a Northern Ireland under-21 youth international, [1] [17] having previously played at under-17 and under-19 levels. [18]
