The OnePlus 13 is an Android-based smartphone manufactured by OnePlus. It was announced on October 31, 2024, and it was available on November 1, 2024, in China. [1] International release has happened on January 7, 2025. [3]

OnePlus 13 is available in 3 colors: white and black variants have a glass back (fingerprints are not a problem according to review), the blue variant uses vegan leather. OnePlus 13 has flat sides as oppose to curvy sides in OnePlus 12. [4] [5]

Software & support

OnePlus 13 ships with Android 15. OnePlus claims to provide 4 years of feature Android updates and 6 years of security patches. [2]

OnePlus 13 has an IR for controlling remotely consumer devices such as TVs. [4]

Battery

OnePlus 13 uses 6,000 mAh silicon-carbon-based battery. Silicon anode batteries perform better than graphite ones because they can store more energy in less space. [6]

It is the company's first mobile phone with a battery capacity higher than 5,500 mAh. The new technology allows OnePlus 13 to have a higher capacity battery and be thinner than OnePlus 12. [7]

According to notebookcheck review, OnePlus 13 has a better battery runtime than OnePlus 12 in all 3 tests: 2267 minutes vs 1965 minutes in Reader/Idle test, 2321 minutes vs 1820 minutes in H.264 video playback test, 1349 minutes vs 1237 minutes in WiFi websurfing test (the reviewer mentioned the fact that the idle value is lower than H.264 video playback value and suggested a future update after more tests). [4]

OnePlus 13 supports 50W magnetic charger (with a special magnetic case). Also it supports OnePlus AirVOOC 50W wireless charger. The full charge in both cases should take 75 minutes. [2]
