Gish is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band the Smashing Pumpkins, released on May 28, 1991 through Caroline Records. Frontman Billy Corgan has variously described Gish as a "very spiritual album" and "an album about spiritual ascension".
The Chariot was an American hardcore punk band from Douglasville, Georgia, that existed from 2003 to 2013. The last lineup consisted of drummer David Kennedy, vocalist and bandleader Josh Scogin, and guitarists Brandon Henderson and Stephen Harrison. The band experienced frequent lineup changes since its inception, with Scogin being the only original member. The band played an abrasive style of metalcore that did not adhere to typical stylings popular among their contemporaries such as melodic/abrasive dynamics and harmonic vocals. They built a reputation around their powerful live performances, with Scogin's lyrics covering topics like materialism, personal struggle, current events, politics, and Christian themes.

Wars and Rumors of Wars is the third full-length album from the band The Chariot. The album is unique in that, the first 25,000 CD cases were hand stamped, signed and numbered by the band, every member stamping 5,000 each. Similarly, the first 300 were stamped in red ink for a special pre-order. They have stated this was done because they felt that CDs were becoming too impersonal, meaning that bands did not have much to do with a CD after the recording was finished, as the artwork would be designed by someone else, and then the whole package would be sent to the printer. The album is the only release by the band to feature guitarists Dan Vokey and Brian Russell Taylor.

This Is Only a Test is the sixth studio album by the Chicago-based pop punk band the Smoking Popes, released March 15, 2011 through Asian Man Records. It was produced by Matt Allison and is their first album with drummer Neil Hennessy, who joined the band in 2008. It is a concept album, with all of the songs written from the perspective of a single teenage boy dealing with the growing pains of adolescence. Singer, guitarist, and songwriter Josh Caterer described it as "kind of a concept album about a teenage life. All of the songs are written from the point of view of a high school student, and they explore aspects of teenage life. This would be [about] a contemporary teenager. It's not specifically autobiographical of my high school experience. Obviously, those things are incorporated into what I write, but I tried to create a character who is the protagonist in these songs."

Most of the group's early material was released on their own record label named Discos Huelga. Loma Prieta has toured the US, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Japan. They share members with Punch. Their often dark and emotionally charged music blends a range of styles, most prominently screamo and powerviolence.
Invisible Stars is the eighth studio album of original material by alternative rock band Everclear. The album was released June 26, 2012 through eOne Music, and marked their first release of original material in six years, following 2006's Welcome to the Drama Club. The album's only single, "Be Careful What You Ask For", was released on May 15, 2012, with an accompanying music video in the following month. The album debuted at #119 on the Billboard 200.
