One of Us is the third studio album by the Cincinnati indie rock group Pomegranates, released October 26, 2010, on Afternoon Records. It was produced by TJ Lipple of Aloha.
One of Us received mostly positive reviews. Giving the album 7/10, William Goodman of Spin declares "All 13 kaleidoscopic tracks, particularly standout 'Anywhere You Go,' a supercollider of rhythmic groove, guitar, and Wurlitzer organ, distill a decade-plus of indie and alt rock into a sparking art-pop swell. Spazzing out, Joey Cook cries: 'I really like you!' The feeling's mutual." [1] Filter's Kurt Orzeck gives the album 85% and touts they perform "with a masterful ease, smoothly maneuvering from oversize spectacle to small-scale minimalism. It’ll reel you in with authority—and you’ll beg, 'Please don’t let me go.'” [2] In a less favorable review, Dylan Nelson of PopMatters gives the album 5/10 and says "the album’s uptempo polish invigorates the band’s sound but ultimately fails to mesh with its wistful tendencies." [3]

Cornershop are an English indie rock band best known for their single "Brimful of Asha", originally released in 1997 and, in a remixed version, topping the UK chart in 1998. The band was formed in 1991 by Wolverhampton-born Tjinder Singh, his brother Avtar Singh, David Chambers (drums) and Ben Ayres, the first three having previously been members of Preston-based band General Havoc, who released one single in 1991. The band name originated from a stereotype referring to British Asians often owning corner shops. Their music is a fusion of Indian music, indie rock, alternative and electronic dance music.
Calexico is a Tucson, Arizona-based Americana, Tex-Mex, indie rock band. The band's two main members, Joey Burns and John Convertino, first played together in Los Angeles as part of the group Giant Sand. They have recorded a number of albums on Quarterstick Records, and their 2005 EP, In the Reins, recorded with Iron & Wine, reached the Billboard 200 album charts. Their musical style is influenced by traditional Latin sounds of mariachi, conjunto, cumbia, and tejano mixed with country, jazz, and post-rock.
