"Only Love Knows Why" is a song written and performed by Peter Cetera. It was the fourth single to be released from his second studio album Solitude/Solitaire . ^[2] It was co-written by the producer Michael Omartian and George Bitzer. "Only Love Knows Why" reached No. 24 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.
