The Orleans Correctional Facility is a state prison in New York, United States. OCF is a medium security prison for males and is located in the Town of Albion, [1] Orleans County in Western New York.

New York State Route 98 (NY 98) is a state highway in the western part of New York in the United States. The southern terminus of the route is at an intersection with U.S. Route 219 (US 219) in the town of Great Valley in Cattaraugus County. The northern end is at an interchange with the Lake Ontario State Parkway in the town of Carlton in Orleans County, near the southern shore of Lake Ontario. In between, NY 98 serves the city of Batavia, connects to the New York State Thruway, and passes by the Attica Correctional Facility. The Gowanda Correctional Facility was a medium-security prison for men located in Gowanda, New York, United States. The prison was located in the south part of Erie County in the Town of Collins. It was adjacent to the Collins Correctional Facility, another medium-security prison. Both prisons were located north of Village of Gowanda at the southern end of Erie County. It opened in 1994 and closed in 2021.

Washington Correctional Facility is a medium-security correctional facility that is located in Comstock, a hamlet in the Town of Fort Ann in Washington County, New York. It is designated for confinement of males age 18 and older. The facility offers volunteer and counseling services, and educational and vocational programs. As of 2010 Washington had a working capacity of 882.

Sussex I State Prison is a prison of the Virginia Department of Corrections located in unincorporated Sussex County, Virginia, near Waverly. It is adjacent to Sussex II State Prison, which lies to its northwest, just across Mussellwhite Drive.

Hindsburg is a hamlet in the town of Murray in Orleans County, New York, United States. It is named after Jacob Hinds, a native of Arlington in Bennington County, Vermont. Hinds settled in Murray circa 1829 and purchased a farm from Jared Luttenton, who had previously constructed a dwelling on the lot. The area quickly became a point of shipping for wheat and produce by way of the Erie Canal and a warehouse was constructed by Hinds in 1830. With no stops between Albion and Hulberton prior to the establishment of Hindsburg, commerce grew quickly and businesses opened in the vicinity.
