Oscar C. Calderon (born October 1,1951) is a Filipino retired police officer who served as the chief of the Philippine National Police. [1] [2]
Calderon was a member of the PMA class of 1973. [1] He served as director of Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) or Central Luzon police. [3] He served as President of Police Anti-Crime Emergency Response in Senior Officers Promotion Board. [4]
Calderon was appointed over contenders such as:Deputy Director General Servando Hizon,PNP comptroller,and Deputy Director General Avelino Razon,PNP deputy chief for operations (his future successor). [1]
