Oswald Tanchot (born 7 August 1973) is a French professional football manager and former player who is the manager of Ligue 2 club Grenoble.
Tanchot started his career with Laval, and played 12 Ligue 2 matches for the club in the 1994–95 season. He went on to play in the French lower leagues for five different clubs in a ten-year period.
In 2005, Tanchot was appointed manager of Division d'Honneur side La Vitréenne and led the team to promotion in his first season. He remained with La Vitréenne until July 2011 when he was hired as the new manager of Le Poiré-sur-Vie, replacing Alain Ferrand.
In 2016, he was named assistant manager of Ligue 2 club Le Havre AC. Following Bob Bradley's departure to Swansea City Tanchot was named new manager of Le Havre. He left the post at the end of the 2018–19 season. Incredibly, after just one game in charge of Volos NPS in August 2022 he was sacked. Tanchot managed Volos to a 3–3 draw against Asteras Tripolis. On 28 May 2024, Tanchot signed a two-year contract to manage Grenoble. [2]

The 2010–11 Ligue 2 season was the 72nd since its establishment. Caen were the defending champions. The fixtures were announced on 22 May 2010 and the season began on 6 August and ended on 27 May 2011. The winter break would be in effect between 22 December and 14 January 2011. There were three promoted teams from the Championnat National, replacing the three teams that were relegated from Ligue 2 following the 2009–10 season. A total of 20 teams currently competes in the league with three clubs suffering relegation to the third division, the Championnat National. All clubs that secured Ligue 2 status for the season were subject to approval by the DNCG before becoming eligible to participate. In addition, German sportswear company Puma, whom the Ligue de Football Professionnel share a partnership with, provided a brand new match ball for the new season.

Due to the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the announcement of the start and end dates for the season was delayed. There were suggestions that the season would feature just 18 teams, as opposed to the usual 20, after France's highest administrative court overturned the relegations of Amiens and Toulouse from Ligue 1; however, the relegations were reinstated by the General Assembly of the LFP with a vote on 23 June 2020. The club was called Grenoble Foot Féminin until it was merged by the town's men's football club, Grenoble Foot 38, in 1997. In 2016, GF38 merged with neighboring Grenoble Métropole Claix Football Féminin, which put the club's team in the Division 2.
The 2022–23 Ligue 2, commonly known as 2022–23 Ligue 2 BKT for sponsorship reasons, was the 84th season of Ligue 2. It began on 30 July 2022 and ended on 5 June 2023. The league had a break from 12 November to 27 December due to the FIFA World Cup. Two clubs were to be promoted to Ligue 1 at the end of the season as the number of clubs in Ligue 1 was set to be reduced from 20 to 18 for the 2023–24 season. As a result, there were no play-offs held after the end of the regular season.
