Ota Zaremba (born 22 April 1957) is a Czechoslovak weightlifter, Olympic champion and world champion. He won gold medal in the heavyweight I class at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. [1]

After he ended his career, Zaremba admitted he used doping throughout his career with the acknowledgment of the sport officials and coaches. [2]

In 2010 Zaremba entered to the far-right Workers' Party of Social Justice (DSSS).

Gregory Haughton is a Jamaican 400 metres runner. He won three Olympic medals, one at the 1996 Summer Olympics and two at the 2000 Summer Olympics. His personal best for the 400 m was 44.56 seconds.

Yuri Norayrovich Vardanyan was a Soviet Armenian weightlifter. Vardanyan won a gold medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics, becoming the world's first weightlifter to achieve a 400 kilogram total in the 82.5 kg weight category. During his career he set several world records. He trained at Lokomotiv in Leninakan, Armenia. He earned the title Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR in 1977 and was awarded the Order of Lenin in 1985. In 1994 he was elected a member of the International Weightlifting Federation Hall of Fame.

Peter Timothy Zaremba was an American athlete who competed mainly in the hammer throw. He was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area steel town of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. He competed for the United States in the 1932 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, United States in the hammer throw where he won the bronze medal. He graduated from NYU with an engineering degree.

Toru Terasawa is a former Japanese long-distance runner who on February 17, 1963 set a world record in the marathon with a time of 2:15:16 at the Beppu Marathon. Terasawa placed second in the marathon at the 1964 Japanese Olympic trials and 15th at the 1964 Summer Olympics. Terasawa is also a two-time champion of the Fukuoka Marathon; he set a Japanese national record during his 1962 victory (2:16:18.4) and improved on it when he won in 1964 (2:14:48.2). At Fukuoka in 1966, he finished fifth (2:15:51.2) after colliding with Jim Hogan, the 1966 European marathon champion, and falling to the pavement just before the half way mark.

Kurao Hiroshima was a Japanese long-distance runner who specialised in the marathon. Shinobu Ota is a Japanese Greco-Roman wrestler and mixed martial artist. Throughout his career, he notably claimed the '16 Olympic Silver medal at 59kg, the '19 World Championship at 63kg, the '18 Asian Games Gold medal at 60kg and three Asian Championship medals.

Akio Shibata is a Japanese professional boxer who held OPBF and Japanese national titles at light middleweight and middleweight, with his middleweight reign stretching between 2013 and 2016. Shibata started his career with a lackluster 9-5-1 but in November 2009, he beat Yuki Nonaka to become OPBF and Japanese champion at light middleweight. He lost the crown on his next fight to Charlie Ota. Ota would also beat him in a rematch, both times by stoppage. Shibata went on to become OPBF and Japanese champion at middleweight. He lost to Olympic medalist Ryōta Murata in a non-title fight, but he made four successful defenses of his titles between 2013 and 2016. Shibata retired following a stoppage loss to Hikaru Nishida.
