P. R. Madhavan Pillai

P. R. Madhavan Pillai (06 March 1917 - 25 September 1976) was an Indian politician and leader of Communist Party of India. He represented Kunnathoor constituency in 1st Kerala Legislative Assembly and Konni constituency in 3rd Kerala Legislative Assembly. He was a member of the Thirukochi Legislative Assembly from 1953 to 55.

Madhavan Pillai started his political career as a Congress activist in 1938. He was a member of the Travancore Congress Committee until 1948 and in the same year he joined the Communist Party. He was also a member of the State Committee, Member of the All India Kisan Sabha, Member of the Central Kisan Council, President and Vice President of the Kerala Karshaka Sangham. Madhavan Pillai was the editor of the communist publications Keralam and Navalokam and was the editor-in-chief of the Congress publication Yuva Kerala until 1948. [1]

P. K. Vasudevan Nair former Chief Minister of Kerala

Padayatt Kesavapillai Vasudevan Nair, popularly known as PKV, was the 9th Chief Minister of Kerala and a senior leader of the Communist Party of India (CPI). He was elected to the Lok Sabha four times, in 1957, 1962, 1967 and 2004, and to the Kerala Legislative Assembly twice, in 1977 and 1980. He became Chief Minister on 20 October 1978, following A. K. Antony's resignation as Chief Minister. However he resigned 7 October 1979 owing to differences with other parties in the United Front.

Kerala Congress (B) Indian political party

G.S Jayalal is an Indian politician and social worker who is a member of 13th Kerala Legislative Assembly representing Chathannoor assembly constituency. He is a member of the Communist Party of India and has served as member of part State Council.

Tara Chand was an Indian politician. He was elected to the Himachal Pradesh Territorial Council in 1962, from the Jogindernagar constituency. He was the sole Communist Party of India (CPI) candidate elected to the council. When CPI split in 1964 Tarachand sided with the Communist Party of India (Marxist), become a leading figure of CPI(M) in Himachal Pradesh. C. R. Mahesh is an Indian politician from Kerala and a member of the Indian National Congress. He is a member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly from Karunagappally. Earlier he was the vice president of youth congress, Kerala. Currently he is an AICC member of INC and general secretary of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee.

A.V. Kunjambu is a well-known figure in the local history of Kerala, especially in North Malabar. He took part in the Karivellur agitation and played an important role in the formation of the Communist Party in Travancore. He worked for the welfare of the working class till the end of his life.
