The Star Award for Movie Actor of the Year is one of the PMPC Star Award for Movies recognizing the outstanding films in the Philippines every year. It was operated by paid tabloid reporters founded by the Philippine Movie Press Club since 1985.

Allen Dizon is a Filipino actor, model and producer in the Philippines. A former member of the Viva Hot Men, Dizon has transitioned from his early years in daring roles to become an independent film actor and producer.

The 30th PMPC Star Awards for Television awards ceremony was held on October 23, 2016 at the Monet Grand Ballroom, Novotel Manila Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City, coinciding with the 63rd anniversary of the birth of Philippine television. The awards will be given to selected programs and personalities ranging from actors, actresses, hosts and news and current affairs personalities who have made a mark in Philippine television in the past year. The awards night was hosted by ABS-CBN personalities Robi Domingo, Kim Chiu, Luis Manzano, Jodi Sta. Maria, Alex Gonzaga and Xian Lim with Elisse Joson and Arjo Atayde as segment hosts and performances from Sam Concepcion, Jason Dy, and 4th Impact.

The 32nd PMPC Star Awards for Movies, was an accolade to give and honor the Filipino mainstream and independent films, personalities and movie industry stakeholders in the year 2015, organized by the Philippine Movie Press Club, headed by current president Fernan "Miss F" de Guzman and produced by Airtime Marketing Philippines headed by Tessie Celestino-Howard. The awards night was held on March 6, 2016 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila, Pasay and aired on ABS-CBN's Sunday Best on March 13, 2016.

Daniel Padilla filmography

Daniel Padilla started his acting career in television as Daniel Ledesma in Gimik 2010, before landing the lead role Patrick Rivero in Growing Up (2011). Padilla finally starred in a critically acclaimed prime-time television series Princess and I (2012-2013), and garnering further recognition for appearing alongside Kathryn Bernardo in Got to Believe (2013-2014). Padilla began transition to more adult roles as Angelo Buenavista in ABS-CBN top seller international distribution program, remake of Pangako Sa 'Yo (2015). The role earned him first nomination at the 2015 PMPC Star Awards for Best Actor. All of his soap operas listed as the most watch Filipino television programs.

The 33rd PMPC Star Awards for Movies, was organized by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) and recognizes the best films and filmmakers for the past year. The awards night was held on September 3, 2017 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila, Pasay and aired on ABS-CBN.

Christian Mercurio Bables, better known as Christian Bables, is a Filipino award-winning actor. He was declared Best Leading Actor at the 5th Hanoi International Film Festival for his character "Intoy" in the movie Signal Rock. He was also given a Best Supporting Actor Award at the Gawad Urian Awards for his trans woman character "Barbs" in the movie Die Beautiful.

The Star Award for Movie Actress of the Year is one of the PMPC Star Award for Movies recognizing the outstanding films in the Philippines every year. It was founded by the Philippine Movie Press Club since 1985.
