PSK Sakhalin (Russian: ПСК «Сахалин»), formerly known as HK Sakhalin and Sakhalin Sea Lions, is an ice hockey team based in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Sakhalin Oblast, Russia. [1] Sakhalin joined the Asia League Ice Hockey (ALIH) in 2014 and played in the competition until 2022, when the ALIH voted to remove the team in protest of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. [2]

The 2014–15 Asia League Ice Hockey season was the 12th season of Asia League Ice Hockey, which this season consists of nine teams from China, Japan, Russia, and South Korea. The league was expanded to include one new team, HC Sakhalin, for the season.

The 2015–16 Asia League Ice Hockey season was the 13th season of Asia League Ice Hockey. The league consisted of nine teams from China, Japan, Russia, and South Korea.

The 2016–17 Asia League Ice Hockey season was the 14th season of Asia League Ice Hockey. The league consisted of nine teams from China, Japan, Russia, and South Korea. A new team for the season was the Daemyung Killer Whales. Daemyung Sangmu left the league. In addition, two more teams from China applied to join the league prior to this season. However, their inclusion was not possible earlier than the 2017–18 season.

The 2019–20 Asia League Ice Hockey season was the seventeenth season of Asia League Ice Hockey. PSK Sakhalin and Anyang Halla were named joint champions after the league cancelled the Finals due to concerns from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2022–23 Asia League Ice Hockey season was the 20th season of operation of the Asia League Ice Hockey. The league returned after the past two seasons were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
