"Palazzo" is a song by a Nigerian disc jockey Spinall, featuring Asake. It was released on 13 May 2022 through TheCAP Music. Spinall and Asake wrote the song, and Spinall produced it with Magicsticks, [1] and sound engineer Eskeez. [1] "Palazzo" earned Spinall his third UK Afrobeats Singles Chart entry at number 6, [2] and earned Asake third entry on the chart. It also earned Spinall his first entry on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs at number 6, [3] and earned Asake, his third entry on the chart. The song was ranked at number 1 on TheCable's [4] list of 10 TCL radio pick of the week, and debuted on number 2 on the TurnTable Top 50 chart. [5] [6]

Background

Magicsticks served as the producer of "Palazzo", with Spinall, who served as the co-producer. [1] The song features Asake, credited as a featured artist, and songwriter, with guest Olamide, who served as a co-writer, and oversaw the music production. [7] "Palazzo" was released on 13 May 2022 as the lead single from Spinall's studio album.

On 13 May 2022, he released the official music video to "Palazzo", shot and directed by TG Omori. [8]

During its debut week, on 13 May 2022, "Palazzo" peaked at number 86 on Apple Music Top 100 Global Songs Chart. [9] "Palazzo" also debut at number 4 in Nigeria, [9] 37 in Dominica, [9] 44 in Ghana, [9] 46 in Gambia, [9] 61 in Ireland, [9] 70 in Niger, [9] 76 in UAE, [9] and 77 in Kenya, on Apple Music. [9] On 22 May 2022, it debuted at number 6 on the UK Afrobeats Singles chart, [2] and reached number 4. [10] On 23 May 2022, it debuted at number 2 on the Nigeria TurnTable Top 50 chart. [6] On 25 May 2022, it debuted at number 6 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, [3] number 3 on TurnTable Top 50 Streaming Songs chart, [11] and number 8 on TurnTable Top 50 Airplay. [12]

Mr. Money with the Vibe is the debut studio album by Nigerian singer Asake, following his signing with YBNL Nation in February 2022. It was released on 7 September 2022 through Empire Distribution. The album comprises 12 tracks, which were all produced by Magicsticks and plugged by Olaitan. The album features two guest appearances from Russ and Burna Boy. Two other tracks which have been previously released as singles from the album are "Peace Be Unto You (PBUY)" and "Terminator" which were released in June 2022 and August 2022 respectively. This album release is a follow-up to his extended play Ololade Asake which was released in February 2022 immediately after being signed by Olamide to YBNL. Kareem Olasunkanmi Temitayo, professionally known as Magicsticks also known for the tag Tune into the King of Sounds and Blues, is a Nigerian record producer, sound engineer and disc jockey. He made his mainstream debut when he produced DJ Neptune's "Nobody" featuring Mr Eazi and Joeboy in 2020, and popular for producing all 12 track records on Asake Mr. Money with the Vibe album, which album debut at number 66 on Billboard's 200 charts and top albums chart in 31 countries worldwide, making it the biggest debut for an Afrobeats album.

The album features guest appearances from Stefflon Don, Fireboy DML, Tamera, Phyno, Summer Walker, Amaka, 6lack, Azanti, Olamide, Kemuel, Niniola, Asake, TSB, Äyanna, Amaarae, Blxckie, Reekado Banks, DJ Snake, Zaiam, Minz, Bnxn, Ladipoe, Tay Iwar, Ntosh Gazi and Adekunle Gold. Production was primarily handled by Spinall, along with additional production from Magicsticks, Caltonic SA, D3an, TSB, DJ Snake, The Eggman, Kel-P, NKVY, Ozedikus, Smeez and Unknown Nick.
