Palina Glebova (born 19 September 1996 in Moscow) is a German taekwondo athlete and three-time Guinness World Record holder. [1]

World Records

Since November 2023, Glebova holds the Guinness World Record for throwing the most darts into a dartboard with one foot in one minute (she successfully threw nine darts, scoring 110 points). [2] [3] [4] [5]

In November 2024, she added two more Guinness Records: Most balloons burst by high-heel kicks above head height in one minute (achieved 22 balloons), [6] and most balloons burst in mid-air with darts thrown by foot in one minute (achieved ten ballons). [7]

She holds six additional world records recognized by the German Record Institute: [8] [9] [10]

Taekwondo career

Glebova began practising the Korean martial art taekwondo at the age of ten. [11] At junior level, Glebova achieved several podium places in full-contact (kyorugi) competitions at both regional and state championships. She has been an active poomsae athlete since she was a junior and has reached the podium several times.

As a senior, Glebova has continuously medalled since 2012, her highest national placement being fourth at a German national ranking tournament. [12] In June 2021, Glebova became a national kyorugi referee for Germany. She is also a poomsae state judge in Schleswig-Holstein. [8] [13]

Public appearances

Since 2021, Glebova is a recurring guest at ZDF-Fernsehgarten, where she performs taekwondo kicks and world records. [10] [14] In 2021, Glebova appeared in the music video of the pop song "Siamo fatti cosi" by Anthony Bauer jr. and Rocco Costa. [15]

As part of the Adivina qué hago show in 2024, she performed a darts stunts act where, with her foot, she shot several ballons next to one of the show's hosts with one dart each. [16] In October 2024, Glebova was featured in season four episode two of the German TV Show Germany's biggest secrets ("Deutschlands größte Geheimnisse") on Kabel Eins. [17]

Education

Glebova completed an apprenticeship as International Administration Manager, specialising in Office Management, in 2020 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies in 2022. [18] [19]

The European Taekwondo Championships are the European senior championships in Taekwondo, first held in Barcelona in 1976. They were the Professional Dart Players Association (PDPA) Players Championships, the UK Open Qualifiers, and the new European Tour events. How Ridiculous is an Australian YouTube channel based in Perth, Western Australia. The channel's main personalities are Brett Stanford, Derek Herron and Scott Gaunson. As of August 2024, they have 22.4 million subscribers and more than 13.14 billion video views. <i>Balloon</i> (2018 film) 2018 German drama film

Balloon is a 2018 German thriller drama film directed by Michael Herbig. The film depicts the crossing of the Inner German border by the Strelzyk and Wetzel families from the GDR to West Germany with a self-made hot-air balloon in 1979. The two families, including four children, successfully floated across the sky from Pößneck, Thuringia to Naila, Bavaria, then situated 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) south of the Iron Curtain. They reached a height of 2,500 metres (8,200 ft) in the homemade balloon.
