Pamenos Avorsant Ballantyne (born 9 December 1973 in Sandy Bay [1] ) is a long-distance runner from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. He represented his country in the marathon at two consecutive Summer Olympics starting in 1996.
His brother, Benedict Ballantyne, was also a long-distance runner.

She defeated Meseret Defar to win the 5000 metres gold medal at the 2008 African Athletics Championships, but she is better known for her 29:53.80 run over 10,000 metres in 2009, which until August 2016 ranked her second on the all-time list behind world record holder Wang Junxia. She is one of seven woman in history to break the 30-minute barrier and one of four Ethiopians to accomplish the feat.
Carolina Alwina Hubertina "Carla" Beurskens was one of Holland's most prominent female long-distance runners from the second half of the 1970s until well into the 1990s, including all distances from 3000 metres to the marathon. During the greater part of this period she was most successful at the longer distance.

He has a half marathon best of 59:19 minutes and has won the Zayed International Half Marathon and Lille Half Marathon. He made his marathon debut at the 2012 Chicago Marathon and ran the third fastest ever debut of 2:05:27 hours.
Luiza Gega is an Albanian middle- and long-distance runner who specialises in the 3000 metres steeplechase since 2016. She won the silver medal in the event at the 2016 European Championships, and a gold in 2022 setting the championship record in the process. Her silver was the first ever Albania’s European medal, while her gold was the first ever title for the country at the European Athletics Championships.
Julia Vaquero Sousa is a retired Spanish athlete who competed in the long-distance events. She represented her country at the 1996 Summer Olympics, as well as four World Championships.

Nazret Weldu Gebrehiwet is a female long-distance runner from Eritrea. She competed in the 10,000 metres at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing finishing 24th. In 2019, she competed in the senior women's race at the 2019 IAAF World Cross Country Championships held in Aarhus, Denmark. She finished in 27th place.
Abdi Nageeye is a Somali-Dutch long-distance runner from the Netherlands. He won the silver medal in the marathon at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Nageeye placed third at the 2022 New York City Marathon.
Lonah Korlima Chemtai Salpeter is a Kenyan-Israeli runner. She won the bronze medal in the marathon at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. At the European Athletics Championships, Chemtai took victory in the 10,000 metres in 2018 and earned bronze in 2022. She won the 2020 Tokyo Marathon, finished second at the 2022 New York City Marathon and third at the 2023 Boston Marathon.
Marhu Teferi is an Ethiopian-born Israeli marathon and half marathon runner, silver medalist in marathon at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest and silver medalist in marathon at the 2022 European Athletics Championships in Munich. He represented Israel at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the Marathon. He also represented Israel at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He has set Israeli records in both the marathon and half marathon.
Lubomír Tesáček was a Czech long-distance runner. He won the gold medal in the 3000 metres at the 1984 European Indoor Championships. He also represented his country at the 1986 European Championships and the Friendship Games since his country boycotted the 1984 Summer Olympics.
Yemaneberhan "Yeman" Crippa is an Ethiopian-born Italian long-distance runner. He won the gold medal in the 10,000 metres and bronze for the 5000 metres at the European Athletics Championships in 2022, and bronze in the 10,000 m in 2018. Crippa claimed four medals in the age-group races at the European Cross Country Championships and a bronze in the senior race in 2019.
Joyciline Jepkosgei is a Kenyan female long-distance runner who competes over distances from 10,000 metres to the marathon. She is the former half marathon world record holder in contests with mixed-gender fields with her personal best of 64:51 minutes, and additionally the former world record holder in the 10 km with 29:43 minutes. She was a bronze medallist over 10,000 m at the African Championships in Athletics in 2016. Jepkosgei ran a world record for the half marathon of 1:04:52 at the Prague Half Marathon in April 2017, becoming the first woman ever to break 65 minutes. She also unofficially broke the IAAF-ratified records for 10 km, 15 km and 20 km along the way, breaking a total of four world records in a single event. She became the first Kenyan ever to break six world records in six months.

Carolina Tabares Guerrero is a Colombian long-distance runner. She represented her country in the 5000 metres at the 2013 World Championships without advancing to the final.
Mohamed "Mo" Katir El Haouzi is a Spanish middle- and long-distance runner. He won the bronze medal in the 1500 metres at the 2022 and the silver medal in the 5000 metres at the 2023 World Athletics Championships. Katir took silver in the 5000 metres at the 2022 European Championships. He is the European indoor record holder for the 3000 metres.
Gashau Ayale is an Ethiopian-born Israeli long-distance runner.
