Panachaiki Volleyball Club is the volleyball department of Panachaiki, a multi-sport club based in Patras. It was founded in 1928. Its home is the Panachaiki Indoor Hall. In the 2013-14 season the team played in the A1 Ethniki (first division) for the first time.
Panachaiki participated in the 1937-38 Panhellenic championship. The final stage of this championship took place in Patras and the winner was E.A. Patras, the other volleyball Club of Patras. Panachaiki also took place in the 1961-62 Panhellenic championship but was disqualified early. Since the 1970s, Panachaiki has been mostly participating in Gamma and Beta Ethniki (fourth and third division respectively). [1]
In the 2007-08 season, it was promoted to the A2 Ethniki (second division) for the first time. In the 2012-13 season, they finished first of their group. After the end of the regular season, the team won the special ascension tournament and it was promoted to the A1 Ethniki for the first time. [2] [3]
In the 2015-16 season Panachaiki finished in the 8th place of the Volleyball League, which is the team's most important success so far.

The Super League Greece 1, or Stoiximan Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the highest professional association football league in Greece. The league was formed on 16 July 2006 and replaced Alpha Ethniki at the top of the Greek football league system. It consists of 14 teams and runs from August to May, with teams playing 26 games.

Ethnikos Piraeus F.C. is a Greek football club based in Piraeus and its parent sports club is Ethnikos OFPF. The club was officially formed in 1923 as Keravnos, but existed since 1922. One year later the club was renamed to Young Boys Titan, after some players' secession that formed Peiraikos Podosfairikos Omilos. The club was renamed to Ethnikos on 23 December 1924, after it merged with Peiraikos Podosfairikos Omilos.
Panionios G.S.S., the Pan-Ionian Gymnastics Club of Smyrna, is a Greek multi-sport club founded in 1890. Originally based in Smyrna/Izmir, the club was uprooted in the population exchange between Greece and Turkey following the Asia Minor Catastrophe in 1922. It is now based in the suburban town of Nea Smyrni, located in the Athens agglomeration, and where many of the refugees from Smyrna settled.
The A1 Ethniki, often referred to as the Greek Volleyball League, is the highest professional volleyball league in Greece. It is run by the Hellenic Volleyball Federation. It is considered one of the top national leagues in European volleyball, as its clubs have made significant success in European competitions.
E.A. Patras is a Greek omnisports club founded in 1927 and based in Patras. It is mostly known for its volleyball and boxing sections, which compete at the highest level in Greece. The volleyball section won the Greek championship in 1938, whereas the boxing section won the national title in 1979, 1983, 1984, 1988 and 1989.
AEK Men's Volleyball Club is the volleyball team of the major Greek multi-sports club AEK. It was founded in 1982. AEK had its finest moment with coach Stelios Prosalikas when they reached the Final-4 of the Cup Winners Cup in 2000. The matches were held in Athens and AEK lost in the semifinal by Cuneo, but won 3–1 Galatasaray in the 3rd place game.
Kifissia V.C. is a volleyball club which was founded in 1932 in Kifissia, a town and a suburb in Athens urban area, Greece. The club was firstly founded under the name A.O. Kifissia but in 2015, it absorbed Metamorfosi V.C. and renamed A.O.P Kifissia. The club plays at the Zirineio Indoor Ball, which holds 800 people.
Peiraikos Syndesmos or simply Peiraikos, also written Piraikos Syndesmos, is one of the oldest sports clubs in Greece, based in Piraeus. It was founded in 1894. Today Peiraikos has departments in basketball, volleyball, and track and field. The previous years it had departments in football, swimming, handball, and water polo.
Panachaiki F.C. is a Greek professional football club based in Patras, Greece and they play in Super League Greece 2, the second tier of Greek football. Founded in 1891, they have reached the Greek Cup semi-finals twice, as well as the quarter-finals on ten occasions. They were the first Greek club outside both the Athens and Thessaloniki metropolitan areas to represent Greece in a European competition, the 1973–74 UEFA Cup.
The Greek Women's Volleyball League is organised by Hellenic Volleyball Federation. In 2021–22 championship took part 14 clubs.
Foinikas Syros is a professional Greek volleyball club based in the island of Syros. Foinikas plays in the first division of Greek Volleyball Championship and has won 2 national titles, the Greek League Cup at 2012 and 2021. Their home ground is the Dimitris Vikelas Arena in Ermoupolis, Syros and their colours are blue and red.
Pamvohaikos or Pamvochaikos is a Greek volleyball club based in Vocha, Corinthia. It was founded in 1961. Since 2012, it plays in first division of Greek volleyleague. Its home is at Vrahati, Corinthia and its colours are blue and yellow. The most successful accolade of Pamvohaikos was the second place of championship, in 2012–13 season.
Ethnikos Alexandroupolis Volleyball Club is the volleyball department of Ethnikos Alexandroupolis multi-sport club that based in Alexandroupoli, Greece. It plays almost constantly in A1 Greek Volleyleague and it is the most consistent club in the Greek league except Athens and Thessaloniki. Its colours are blue and white and its home is the Closed Gym of Alexandroupoli 'Michalis Paraskevopoulos'.
Athletic Club of Nea Smyrni Milon or simply AONS Milon is a multisport club in Greece that based in Nea Smyrni, Athens. It was founded in 1928 by a group of refugees which came in Nea Smyrni. The club's colours are green and black. The home of the club is the Milon Gymnasium with a capacity of 1,300 seats.
Panionios Volleyball Club is the volleyball department of the Greek multisport club of Panionios, based in Nea Smirni. It is one of the oldest sport sections of the club with presence since early 20th century. The colours of the club are red and blue and its home arena is the Panionios Indoor Hall.
The 2015–16 Greek Volleyleague season is the 48th season of the Greek Volleyleague, the highest tier professional volley league in Greece. The winner of the league was PAOK, which beat Foinikas Syros 3–1 in the league's playoff's finals. It was the second championship of PAOK. The clubs Aris Thessaloniki and Lamia were relegated to the A2 Ethniki.
The 2016–17 Greek Volleyleague is the 49th season of the Greek Volleyleague, the highest tier professional volley league in Greece. The defending champion is PAOK.
The 2017–18 Greek Volleyleague is the 50th national championship and the 8th under the Volleyleague name. It is the highest volleyball league in Greece. Twelve teams were participating in the 2017–18 season; PAOK was the defending champion. Olympiacos Piraeus won its 28th championship.
The Greek Volley League 2018–19 championship is the 51st National championship and the 9th under the Volleyleague name. The championship started on Saturday 20 October 2018 and the regular season is scheduled to complete on Saturday 30 March 2019.
