Pathanamthitta District, is one of the 14 districts in the Indian state of Kerala. The district headquarters is in the town of Pathanamthitta. There are four municipalities in Pathanamthitta: Adoor, Pandalam, Pathanamthitta and Thiruvalla.
Aranmula is a temple town in the state of Kerala, India. It is known as the cultural capital of Pathanamthitta district, located at a distance of around 116 km from Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala, it is situated on the banks of the river Pampa. A centre of pilgrimage from time immemorial and a trade post of eminence, when the river was the chief means of transport, it is near Kozhencherry in Pathanamthitta District. It is easily accessible from Chengannur railway station (10km). It is one of the Fastest Growing Village. Aranmula, along with the majority of Pathanamthitta district, was part of the Quilon division or Central Travancore division of Travancore. On November 1, 1982, Pathanamthitta district was established.
Achankovil is a 128 km (80 mi) long west flowing river in Kerala, India. It flows through the districts of Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha. The river drains vast tract of fertile plains of Upper Kuttanad in the Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta districts. The Main Central Road popularly known as MC Road is the arterial State Highway starting from Kesavadasapuram in Trivandrum city and ends at Angamaly, a suburb of Kochi city in Ernakulam District, in the state of Kerala, India. It is designated as State Highway 1 by the Kerala Public Works Department. The highway was built by Raja Kesavadas, Dewan of Travancore, in the 1790s. Plan for a new highway called Thiruvananthapuram–Angamaly Greenfield Highway, which runs parallel to the MC Road is proposed and is under early stage of development.

The Muringamangalam Sreemahadevar Temple, located at 1/2 km from Konni Junction, is more than 1000 years old. It used to belong to the Pandalam Royal Family. It is the biggest temple east of Pathanamthitta and the biggest Siva temple in Pathanamthitta District. This temple is in the State of Kerala in the peninsular India. Kannur International Airport is an international airport serving the city of Kannur and the North Malabar region of Kerala, Kodagu district of Karnataka and Mahé district of Puducherry in India. Orippurathu Bhagavathy Temple (Malayalam: ഒരിപ്പുറത്തു ഭഗവതി ക്ഷേത്രം) is a 1200 year old ancient Hindu temple in Thattayil, near Adoor in Pathanamthitta in Kerala. It is one of the most famous Bhagavathi temples in Central Travancore. The main deity of the temple is Goddess Kali. Sub deities include Lord Ganesha, Lord Krishna, Naga Rajav, Naga Yakshi, Rekshassu, Yogeeshwaran, Yakshi Amma and Madan Swamy. Orippurathu Bhagavathi Temple is situated at about 7 km from Pandalam and 12 km from Pathanamthitta. It is located at 2 km from National Highway 183A.
Kollam Bypass is a part of NH 66 that bypasses CBD of Kollam city in Kerala, India. The busy 13.141 km long bypass starts at Mevaram in the south to Kavanad in the north, via Ayathil, Kallumthazham, Kadavoor and Kureepuzha in Kollam city. It is a joint venture between the central and state government. It was inaugurated on 15 January 2019 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Enathu Bailey bridge was a Bailey bridge constructed by Indian Army through Kallada River in Enathu, Pathanamthitta, Kerala. It connects Enathu with Kottarakkara. The bridge is opened for public at 10 April 2017. The bridge is 54.50-metre-long with a width of 3.5 metres.
